[Meat Thanksgiving Day] Grounds for keeping the Harvest Festival
(Proverbs 3:9,10)
As we celebrate the Thanksgiving Day of 2009, I would like to thank Heavenly Father while thinking about the biblical basis for why we should keep the Harvest Festival at this time.
When the Israelites were liberated from Egypt after 430 years and went up the wilderness, God calls Moses to Mount Sinai. And he directed all religious ceremonies necessary for them to serve God properly.
Among them are the feasts they must observe three times a year.
So, in Exodus 23:14, it says, “You shall keep a feast to me the third time every year.”
These three festivals were finally observed as the three major festivals of the nation of Israel, and in the New Testament era, the name has been changed, but it can be said to be a Christian festival that has been kept the same.
First, the Passover (Ex 12:1-28, Leviticus 23:5, Numbers 28:16), the Feast of Tabernacles (Leviticus 23:33-43, Numbers 29:12-38, Deuteronomy 16)
Verses 13-17) And the Feast of Harvests that we observe today are in other words the Feast of Firstfruits (Ex 34:22), the Feast of Weeks (Deut 16:9-16, Num 28:26), the Feast of Pentecost (Leviticus 23:16, Acts 2:21) is called

With the first ripe fruits obtained here, the first thing to be thankful and grateful to God is the Festival of Harvest.
And Pentecost is the Feast of Unleaved Bread, but because it is the 50th day, it is called Pentecost. In the New Testament, it is celebrated as the Feast of Pentecost.
1. Reasons to keep the Maceul Festival
First, because it is a command from God.
God Himself said that this feast must be observed. These words are the fact that God's command for the Feast of Harvest is absolute. In Exodus 23:14-17,
saints
The orders of the people of this world can be withdrawn, altered, or compromised by anyone.
But God is not. I want you to remember that God's commands can and must not be rejected. If a person adds or subtracts as he pleases, God's judgment will come. And if we disobey God's commands, we will be punished, and if we obey, we will be blessed. (Deuteronomy 6:1-3 Deuteronomy 7:9-11) Again If you give it, you can see that God's commands always entail responsibility.
