1. Let's bow down before God and receive approval from God (verse 15 of the text).
In order to give before God first and receive approval before God, as in today's text, first of all, you must be a person who correctly divides the word of truth. The original-language interpretation has the meaning of 'cut right' or 'interpret rightly', meaning that it does not alter the teachings of God's Word and distinguishes the truth from the truth. Second, in order to bow down before God and receive approval, you must become a 'shameless person. Paul is making a practical suggestion that a worker who receives the true approval of Jesus Christ should have. In the present generation we live in, as time goes by, the correct judgment of the truth is getting blurred, and the reality is that many Christians are being criticized with ridicule from the people of the world. In the end, it is a shame that our life itself comes because we do not live a life worthy of God's call and we do not live a life of obedience to the word of truth.
To bow down before God is to humble yourself and completely obey God's Word. In that case, we become recognized workers before God.
Romans 12:1 “Therefore, brethren, I beseech you by the mercies of God, that you present your bodies as a living sacrifice, holy and acceptable to God, which is your spiritual worship.”
2 “Do not be conformed to this world, but be transformed by the renewing of your mind, that you may discern what is the will of God, which is good and acceptable and perfect.”
1 Corinthians 10:31 “Therefore, whether you eat or drink or whatever you do, do it all for the glory of God.”
2 Corinthians 10:18 “It is not he who is credited with praising himself, but the Lord commending him.”
Romans 14:18 “He who serves Christ in this way is pleasing to God, and is also praised by men.”
Dear White Stone Church members who are here today! The first way to become a worker recognized by God is to be able to live as a worker recognized by God and people when God acknowledges me before I acknowledge myself, and furthermore, when I live a holy life in which my life itself is offered to God. will be Knowing that this kind of life is not given to the person next to me, but God's holy will given to me, I pray earnestly in the name of Jesus Christ to live as a recognized worker in the life given to me today.
2. Let's avoid lust and be approved by Jesus! (Text verse 22).
Galatians 5:16 “I tell you, walk by the Spirit, and you will not fulfill the lust of the flesh.”
24 “Those who belong to Christ Jesus have crucified the flesh with its passions and desires.”
25 “If we live in the Spirit, we must also walk in the Spirit.”
26 “Let us not provoke one another, envying one another, seeking glory in vain.”
1 Timothy 6:9 “Those who want to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which plunge men into destruction and destruction.”
10 “The love of money is the root of all evil, and those who long for it have been deceived, and have erred from the faith and pierced themselves with many sorrows.”
Proverbs 30:7 “I have asked thee for two things; give it to me before I die.”
8 “Put away from me false lies; neither give me poverty nor riches, but feed me with the bread I need.”
9 “Maybe I am full and do not know God, lest I be the LORD, or I am poor and steal, and profane the name of my God.”
Dear saints, I hope that Solomon's prayer will be yours and mine. So, as this verse (22) says, as perfect Christians who serve God “with a pure heart, after righteousness, faith, love and peace”, no matter what temptations and all kinds of evil spirits shake our faith, we must turn to the left or to the right. I pray earnestly in the name of Jesus at this time in the name of Jesus to become a true worker who is ready and acknowledged before Jesus through life as a holy people of God.
3. I am a recognized worker when I purify myself (text verse 21).
Dear White Stone Saints! In order to become a recognized worker of God, the third and last important thing is that the person needs external conditions such as talent and knowledge, but more importantly, the person has the purity of the gospel about Jesus Christ inside. A person with a pure heart is a worker who can be used preciously by God and can be recognized.
As you well know, the church to which we belong is a gathering place of various people. There are people who have jobs that can be called the elite as we know them, and on the other hand, there are those who are faced with the difficulties of living day by day. It is the church. Among them, there are those who are loyal to the Lord, but there are also those who are lazy and satisfy their own desires. I and you, who are here today, want to become the former, not the latter, and to become servants of God and to live a life that always pleases God. Also, I want to be in a “ready state” that God can use at any time. So, how can we become such prepared people?
John 12:26 “If anyone wants to serve me, follow me; where I am, there will also be those who serve me; and if a man serves me, my Father will honor him.”
Proverbs 3:14 “For wisdom is better than silver, and its profit better than gold.”
15 “Wisdom is more precious than pearls, and all your longings cannot compare with it.”
Colossians 1:9 “For this reason we also, from the day we heard it, have not ceased to pray for you, asking that you may fill your spiritual wisdom and understanding with the knowledge of the will of God.”
10 “Walking worthy of the Lord, pleasing in all things, bearing fruit in every good work, and increasing in the knowledge of God”
Psalm 24:3 “Who will come up on the mountain of the LORD, and who will stand in his holy place?”
4 “He who has clean hands, a pure heart, who does not set his mind on falsehood, and does not swear falsely.”
5 “He will receive blessing from the LORD, and righteousness from the God of his salvation.”
6 “This is the people who seek the LORD, those who seek the face of the God of Jacob (Selah)”
James 4:8 “Draw near to God, and he will draw near to you. Cleanse your hands, you sinners, and purify your hearts, you double-minded.”
Saints! No matter how dirty the gold and silver vessels are, what can they contain? Therefore, you and I will not strive to become gold or silver vessels, but if you work hard to become a clean vessel inside, even if it is an ugly brass vessel, God will use you and me as approved workers even at this moment. .
Now, we would like to draw a conclusion. Let's read Romans 9:21 together this time.
Romans 9:21 “Does not the potter have authority to make from a loaf of clay, one vessel for honor and the other for humble use?”
That's right. We need to know right away that the God who created all things and ruled and governed them at this time is involved in me and all of your life and death. The fate of a loaf of clay rests with the potter, who may be born into a very expensive vessel, but is also destined to return to clay without ever being used.
Whether it is a vessel for me and you to use in a noble way or a vessel to be used lowly depends on the heart of Jesus, who is still here with us.
A worker who is recognized by Jesus can be recognized when he falls down before God (1), 2, avoids lust, and 3, purifies himself. I pray earnestly in the name of Jesus Christ at this time to live such a life that gives glory to God.
