Mark 10:35-45
When a rich man in the United States asks what his wish is when he dies, he says, 'When I die, put it in a golden crown'. After he died according to his wish, he put him in a golden coffin and buried him. Was this person really a person who lived with value? On the other hand, he became very rich by gambling and gambling.
And a few days later, as I passed by that house,
I've seen them carry expensive luxury furniture. When I asked, 'Why are you moving this luxury furniture out?', I said, 'I saved money by selling sludge. Every time I think of that money, I curse. I am trying to get rid of all the things I bought with the money I earned from selling alcohol and remove the curse on me and my son.” , it depends on how much power you have, but the biblical values are not at all. `Then what would be the moral values of righteousness?
1. What you become is more important than what you do.
Many people only think about how great they are, but what you become is more important than what you do. Just as it does not come first to bear good fruit, but to become a good tree, so if a great person or a good person comes first, good deeds. Good achievements come naturally.
'Being' (Bting) should come first rather than 'Doing' (Doing).
Jesus said, 'A good tree produces good fruit, and a bad tree produces bad fruit.'
A wise man once said, 'It is not what you do that matters, but what kind of person you become is more important.' (It is not important what you do, but what you are) This is really important.
That is why they say that the church needs to be renewed, and the members of the church must also do something new, so there is a movement and lectures. It is a good thing, but how do you reverse the reverse of salt and water without being regenerated and repenting? Can society be renewed? First, by the power of the Holy Spirit, we must testify the gospel of Jesus with power so that people can be born again and their souls can be saved. Without being born again, what kind of social reform will there be and the creation of a new Korea? Even in the case of our church, 4,300 people learn and receive baptism a year, and you can see that they are transformed into new people within a few years. You can see the new people who once spent years with alcohol, tobacco, fighting, sexual abuse, and debauchery, completely quitting and living a life of prayer, evangelism and devotion.
If it were not for the words of God that are preached within the church and the prayers of the saints who cry out every morning and night. Korea collapsed earlier than Vietnam and Khmer, and it would not have been able to survive as a democratic country to this day, and it would not have been able to become a country that appeared on the top of the world after successfully hosting the Asian Games and the Olympic Games.
If the heart is regenerated and changed to become a new person first, then social reform and the creation of a new Korea in the true sense will be realized.
John Wes-Iey, who saved England in the 18th century, was not the one who cried out for social participation and social reform. When we realized the gospel right away, experienced the fervent work of the Holy Spirit, and preached the true gospel of Jesus Christ, judgment, repentance, heaven, and the end of time, the work of repentance, overturning, melting, and change took place. .
When the churches are more filled with the Holy Spirit and more powerfully preach the word of God, the works of pure repentance will take place and the creation of a new Korea will take place.
2. How you spend is more important than how much you own.
Most people try to gauge a person's worth and success by how much they own. But God doesn't look at how much money a person owns, He only counts how valuable the money is.
There is someone who said, 'God does not count the money he earns, he counts only the money he spends rightly.
Some say, 'When a man dies, clutches in his hands that he has given away during his Iife time' Even if you earn money, if you spend it only for yourself and your family, or if you squander it for the pleasures of the flesh, such as drinking, gambling, or lewdness, that person will receive a greater judgment. Rather, like a poor widow, a woman who spends even a penny worth for God's sake will receive a greater reward.
Some say, 'Most people are only interested in what they do, not what they want to be. However, once you become the person you should be, there is no difficulty in owning what you should have.'
So Jesus said to the rich young man who was obsessed with possessiveness, 'Sell what you have, give it to the poor, and follow me'. The young man lacked such courage and determination, so he Together forever? I missed the chance of being a genius Il-woo.
3. There is more value in serving than being served.
Many people know that sitting in a high position and being served is worth more, but in reality, serving others is more valuable than being served.
Even though Jesus is equal with God, He came dressed as a servant and touched the feet of His disciples, saying, 'I am your Lord and Teacher, but do I not wash your feet? And in Mark lo:45, he said decisively that the Son of Man did not come to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for the one who lost his life.'
You can serve others in a particularly high position and receive a lot of hospitality and service, but you don't know how valuable and wonderful it is to empty yourself and serve others humbly. Ralvin said, 'Even a king cannot truly rule righteously without serving.'
We Christians should always humble ourselves and live a life of service, even if we are humbled, like those who have a degree or not, even if we have a degree.
In the text, James and John made a special request to Jesus, saying, 'In Your glory, let us sit, one on the right side and the other on the left side.' At one time, Jesus said, 'You do not know what you are asking for.' He said that he must drink the bitter cup of the cross, and said, 'You know that the so-called rulers of the Gentiles are arbitrarily ruling over them, and their great men exercise authority over them, but not in your testimony. Whoever wants to be the first among you must be the servant of all.” That is, do not imitate the worldly people who abuse and magnify others, but humble yourself and serve. This is the secret to truly rising.
`The secret to truly growing, what is truly worthwhile is to serve.
4. We must value the soul more than the body.
If the body is compared to the forget-me-nots and branches of a plant, the soul is like the root of a plant. If you compare your body to the shell of an egg, and your mind to the white of an egg, then you can compare it to the 's wiggle.
The body is temporary, the soul is eternal.
Depending on the condition of the soul, it is decided whether to spend eternity in heaven or eternally in hell.
When the souls who died because of sins believe and accept Jesus as the Savior who atoned for their sins, they will receive eternal life. Therefore, a person who is born once in the body dies twice, and a person who is born again to the soul and is born twice will enjoy eternal life and happiness in the eternal heaven.
Living on the path of good luck is the most valuable life, and it is a life that communicates with eternity. The Bible says, 'Beloved, I pray that you may prosper in all things and be in good health, as your soul prospers' (3 John 2). Therefore, God sometimes allows physical pain and loss of material in order to heal the soul.
And I had to set up branches in another city, and I kept missing out on Sunday worship because I had to go from point to point. Even so, I always send tithes, so I give them little by little later in the form of a tithe.
Dear Lord, you have given him so much business. John was overly successful. Dear Lord, John says he pays you too much tithing. In order for his soul to prosper first, let me burn some of his shops. Let some shops fail and close their doors. Take away some of his work so that John can return to the man he used to love and work for you so much...' As he finished praying, John began to tremble.
- Hallelujah -
