Sermons for Preaching

Title Rely on the Lord

Contents Bible text: Proverbs 30:5-9 Title: Trust in the Lord

Proverbs 30:5-9.

5 All the words of God are pure, and God is a shield for those who trust in him. 6 Do not add to his words, for he will reprove you.

least you be a liar. 7 I have asked the Lord two things; do not reject me before I die. 8 Keep far from me, vanity and lies, and do not make me poor.

Do not make me rich, but feed me with the bread I need. 9 Or if I am full and do not know God, I shall say, Who is the LORD?

least I be poor and steal, and profane the name of my God.

1. God is a shield for those who depend on him.

2. Do not add or subtract from God's words.

3. Learn to be satisfied with the food you need.

Let's read Philippians 4:8-20 and pray.

8 Finally, brethren, whatsoever things are true, whatsoever things are godly,

whatever is right, whatever is pure, whatever is lovely,

whatever is commandable, whatever virtue there is

Think of these things, whenever there is a celebration 9 Do what you learn from me and do what you have received and heard and seen.

Then the God of peace will be with you. 10 I rejoice greatly in the Lord, that you have thought of me.

Now it sprouts again, and for this you also

I thought about it, but there was no opportunity. 11 I am not speaking because I am in need.

I have learned to be content in all circumstances. 12 I know how to be in lowliness and I know how to have abundance.

In all things, in fullness and hunger, in abundance and in want,

I have learned all the secrets of how to live. 13 I can do all things through him who strengthens me. 14 But it was well done, because you were partakers of my affliction. 15 You Philippians know that at the beginning of the gospel,

When I left Macedonia, the church that took part in my work of giving and receiving

There was no one but you. 16 Even when you were in Thessalonica, you were

Twice I have sent for my needs 17 I am not asking for a gift

But seeking fruit in abundance for your own benefit, 18 I have all and have abundantly.

On the part of Epaphroditus I have received what you have given me, and I am satisfied

It is an acceptable fragrant offering, pleasing to God 19 My God in Christ Jesus glory

He will supply all your needs according to his riches. 20 Glory to God and our Father for ever and ever, Amen.
