Title Results of Thoughts/Jeremiah 6:16-21
It's okay to think backwards about the circumstances we're given in life for some time to come. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . --------------------- . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . .
There are people who always see everything as dark and only the negatives, while others see everything as positive.
For some, the stone laid down is an obstacle, but for others, it is a stepping stone.
Depending on how we view the situation and how we react, the circumstances can be the worst or the best for us.
How would you like to live?
Today's text of the Bible is a passage that can be seen as very dark in some ways.
It is the content of the prophecy about the destruction of Judah in the south, and in a nutshell, it is said to the people of Judah, "God gave the way of peace, but he did not want it. I will bring calamity upon you. This is the result of your thoughts. Now, no matter how much you bring gold and silver and sacrifice to me, I will not accept it, and you will perish."
This is the message of God's severe judgment. By the way, everyone here today, the part we want to receive grace from is this “result of thinking” part.
To say how we are the result of our thoughts is to say that we are the result of our minds. Our words and actions are determined according to what kind of thoughts we have and what we have.
If you have unclean thoughts, you will have unclean words and actions. But when we have holy thoughts, holy words and holy deeds are bound to come out.
Today's text is about God's chastisement of Judah. But what should we think in front of this fact? We believe that we need to have a heart for "本當の事" that God wants us to do. We need to know the original heart of parents who beat their children.
Clearly, today's message is judgment, but what did God really want?
1. He wanted to give you peace.
In verse 16, it says, “Your souls will find peace.” But how are you saying that peace is obtained? "When you stand on the road, when you see it, see where the old way, the good way, is, and walk in it, and you will find peace in your soul." What does the old way refer to here? It refers to the good road walked in the past.
When David reigned before Israel was divided, Israel was at peace. They served God wholeheartedly. God allowed peace and quiet in the days of King David. The country was prosperous, and the people lived in grace.
God wants to give you peace. How can I get that peace?
If you walk on the good path, you will find peace. The history of Israel shows that. Among the kings of Israel and southern Judah, which were divided into southern and northern Israel, there are kings who followed the successive kings and followed the good path. At that time, God gave peace to the people of Judah. It was especially so in the early days of Hezekiah's monarchy. After Hezekiah became king at the age of 25, Hezekiah destroyed all the idols. According to the Bible, 2 Kings 18:5-7, “Hezekiah trusted in the LORD, the God of Israel, and there was none like him among the kings of Judah before and after him. was with him, and he prospered wherever he went."
When we depend on God and serve only the Lord, God gives us peace.
You God wants to give you peace.
John 14:27 says, "Peace I leave with you; My peace I give to you. I do not give to you as the world gives. Do not let your hearts be troubled and do not be afraid."
May the peace that the Lord gives you finds out to you.
When I see people, there are people who feel at ease, and there are people who feel anxious. I hope you have a history of peace of mind when anxious and trembling people see you.
The faces of those who have received grace are at peace no matter what anyone sees. I feel at ease. However, there are people who have received the wrong grace. People who are mistreated are characterized by aggressiveness. If, despite a lot of prayer, his words are aggressive, defiant, and there is no comfort on his face, he has received the wrong favor. It is dangerous to be with someone who has received this kind of grace by mistake.
After Jesus was resurrected, he went to the disciples. The disciples lost their master, and moreover, they could not go out and locked their doors, trembling in anxiety because of the fact that they were the disciples of Jesus who had been executed. But what did Jesus say to them when he entered through the locked door? “Peace be with you” (Luke 24:36).
What the Lord wants to give us is peace.
What makes us tremble? Is it business? Are you a person? environment? What is it that scares us, discourages us? May you find peace in Jesus.
“Come to me, all you who labor and are heavy laden, and you will give you rest.” (Matthew 11:28) Jesus says:
Please leave it to the Lord. No problem on this earth can't be done before Jesus. Any problem will be solved in the presence of the Lord. Any disease can be cured. Any poverty can be restored.
The Lord is the answer. No matter what kind of problems you bring, they will all be solved in the name of Jesus.
2. He hears the trumpet.
Also, what God wanted the people of Judah to hear was the sound of the watchman's trumpet. Verse 17 says, “I have also set a watchman over you; hear the trumpet sound.”
What is the watchman's job? It's about monitoring and watching. If there is a castle, go up the tower and look around. the enemy is coming Let's see what it is. Then blow the trumpet when the enemy is about to attack. People hear the trumpet and prepare for war, prepare to fight.
Therefore, the sound of the watchman's trumpet is very important. People should always listen to the trumpet.
If the trumpet sounds and no preparation is made, they will all perish.
But if they hear the trumpet and prepare and prepare, they will surely win the war.
God sent prophets for Israel. They are the watchmen. The words that come out of their mouths are the sound of the trumpet.
God sent watchmen whenever Israel sinned. By the way, they hated the sound. I didn't hear the trumpet.
This is the story of Judah's destruction because he did not hear the sound of the trumpet.
So how can we not perish?
It's simple. Hearing the watchman's trumpet. I live by hearing that sound.
The church is just such a watchman. every morning every day. The trumpet sounds every Sunday, Wednesday, and Friday. Trumpets are sounding to bring spiritual awakening to our lives. Sometimes in our lives, we put a burake. It also sounds a krakshon that is dangerous. We need to hear it.
I hope you do not always try to listen only to good things to hear during sermons. Don't say "Amen" only to blessings, but to God's warnings and voices you don't want to hear, "Amen".
Even though my heart is pierced and it is painful to hear, if you say "Amen" you are hearing the trumpet.
What should those who hear the trumpet do? You must move immediately. You have to change your attitude. The enemy is attacking us now, and we must respond immediately. Whether we raise our spears or our swords, we must face a crisis. It doesn't mean anything if you end up listening.
If we hear the Word and do not bring about any change, if we do not bring about any self-determination, we do not hear it.
Your doctor has something wrong with your health. In order to lower the disease, you need to cut down on food immediately. This should not be eaten. If they give you this or that prescription, you have to do it right away. That way you can live.
If a doctor does not listen to a warning and does not listen to it and does not act, that person will have no choice but to suffer.
But in today's text, Judas, in the latter part of verse 17, said, "They answered, We will not listen." This is the cause of Judah's destruction. They did not want to hear the voices of the prophets sent by God.
In the end, they walk the path of destruction. Verse 20 says, “Why bring me frankincense from Sheba and spices from afar? do.
Sulfur from Shiva and spices from the source were the best of their time. But no matter how much I bring, I will not accept it. What this means is that people try to solve the problem with money later when they are in a hurry. But it is already too late.
The doctor's prescription is in the early stages. However, if you don't follow the doctor's prescription and eventually things get bigger and the disease gets bigger, you come urgently and ask the doctor to fix it. I promise to give you any money. But in front of those who ignored the first warning trumpet, no matter how much money it costs later.
There are people around us who want to solve problems with money in a hurry. I hope you all remember that if it's already too late, no matter how many billions you have, it's of no use.
Please remember that no matter how much you give, it is of no use to those who do not hear God's warning trumpet.
Beloved, the Lord, who watches over our lives, warns us when we are in spiritual danger. He blows the trumpet.
How grateful are we that we have that trumpet? We are happy to know that there is someone who can control our life.
I still remember when I got this building now. As you all know, it is really difficult to find a church building in Japan. It was the same when I got this building now. However, after persuading the real estate agent, the owner of the building later told me to write down what kind of religious activities this church is engaged in, and I prayed all night.
And as the owner of the building knows, there are many foreigners living in Japan. However, when they leave their country, they come with a dream, but when they come to a foreign country, it is easy to wander. And it's easy to fall apart. So, for such people, the church becomes a spiritual and spiritual supporter and tries to guide them on the right path of faith. I wrote and sent this message, and the owner of the building was OK.
That is the mission of the church. When people try to compromise with sin and fall, they blow the trumpet. Don't do that, repent, come back to life, and don't deviate from the Word, and blow the trumpet. Thank you in advance for the fact that you have such a trumpet.
And I hope you always listen to the trumpet. So we can live.
Please be clear that the fall of Judah was due to not hearing the sound of the trumpet.
dear saints
Verse 19 says, “Hear, O earth, that I will bring calamity upon this people, and this is the result of their thoughts, because they have not listened to me and have forsaken my law.”
The result of thinking is said to be a disaster. What were your thoughts? It is the result of thinking not to listen to the word of God and not to hear the trumpet sound.
So what if we think the other way around? What would be the result of the thought that we would hear and do the word of God, and hear the trumpet sound? It is peace. It's safe. It's protection. It is a blessing from God.
What thoughts do you have when you hear the Word? The result of that thought can be a disaster or a blessing. I bless you in the name of the Lord that you have positive thoughts that will bring amazing blessings before God.
