Bible: Hebrews 1:1~3

One of the things we feel when we look at the Bible is whether we can meet God whenever we want to meet God, and whether our ancestors in our faith can meet God whenever they want to meet God and hear God's voice whenever they want to hear God's voice. will be The Bible doesn't say that it was.

For example, in 1 Samuel 3:1, it says that the word of God was rare at that time, and the vision of God was not seen. In other words, when young Samuel was growing up in the sanctuary in Shiloh, the word of God was hardly seen or heard. Not only that, but as we see in 1 Samuel 28, King Saul also wanted a revelation from God, but he did not receive it. Moving on to the New Testament and in Acts 8, a man named Simon wants to receive money and pray to receive the power to perform miracles, such as when the demon-possessed person leaves, the paralytic and the lame stand up. It says that it cannot be received. The Bible teaches that the high priest Eli did not receive God's revelation as he wanted it, and even King Saul of a nation did not receive God's revelation when he wanted it, and it teaches that God's revelation cannot be received even with money. .

Revelation is God revealing Himself to Himself. The nature of revelation is that we cannot know God on our part unless God reveals Himself. When we know God, we know it because God taught us to know it, not through our efforts. These revelations have an important function. Through revelation, we come to know God and His will. Through revelation, we receive God's power, and through revelation, we can know why the Creator God created us, for what reason, and what our future will be like through God's revelation. Therefore, revelation is important in the life of faith.

The greatest purpose of our life of faith is to know the Creator God who God Himself revealed. Knowing the God who created me, knowing my roots, brings confidence into my life. Through God's revelation, we come to know who we are through knowing God.

In 2 Kings 5 we see Naaman, the commander of the Syrian army. Naaman was a man who lacked nothing. But he gets leprosy. It was only after he came to know God that Naaman became happy in such a desperate situation and his illness was healed. Zacchaeus in Luke 19 was a man with money and power. But that money and power did not give Zacchaeus the satisfaction of life. The moment Zacchaeus first began to feel happy was the moment Jesus came to his house. When Zacchaeus felt the happiness of life, when Jesus came to his house, when God revealed it to him, and when he appeared, Zacchaeus was able to enjoy the greatest happiness in his life. Revelation makes me know who I am, Revelation heals my disease, and Revelation brings happiness to me.

But the problem is that people cannot receive revelation just because they want it. Why can't people receive revelation from God? There is one reason. Romans 3:23 says, “For all have sinned and fall short of the glory of God...” Because sin breaks our relationship with God. It is sin that prevents us from receiving God's revelation. What was the first thing that appeared after Adam and Eve sinned? The first thing that appeared was escaping from God. To avoid receiving God's revelation, sin is what makes us humans avoid God.

Because we are sinners, we cannot receive revelation from God. In this situation, God Himself appeared and showed us who were sinners. So, it is grace and blessing. I cannot receive God's revelation on my own. Because I am a sinner, I am in a very unhappy state, in an impossible state. To us, God, who is the source of revelation, first appeared to us and showed Himself. It is always a blessing for God to show Himself.

God appeared to Moses in the middle of a burning bush that was on fire to Moses, who had been tending sheep in the wilderness of Midian for 40 years. You have revealed It changed Moses' life. Until then, I had been a shepherd, but for the next 40 years, I lived as a national leader who saved the people of Israel. In the land of Mesopotamia, Abraham worshiped the same idol that his father Terah had worshiped. He had a lot of money, but no one recognized Abraham. God appeared to Abraham and heard the voice of God. God's revelation appears. Abraham received the revelation, and now he left the land of Mesopotamia and moved to the land of Canaan, and from then on, Abraham's life changed into a blessed life. It has become a source of blessing by sharing it with others. In this way, God's revelation changes people's lives.

There are times of spiritual revelation in our daily life when we encounter God. The first is worship and the second is Bible reading. Although we are sinners, when God calls us to gather here to worship Jehovah God, Jesus, who wants to receive our worship, is here to meet us and change our lives from this time on. The Bible reveals to us through the Word of God. So the Bible is the revelation of God. This is the book of meeting God.

Dear saints, I hope that you will meet our Jesus here today and hear God's voice through the Bible, and I pray in the name of the Lord that you will always long for God's revelation.
