Text: Matthew 25:14-30

The Bible is the story of Jesus. If we compare it to a movie, many people in the Bible are extras, and the main character is Jesus. Also, the Bible testifies of “Jesus to come” in the Old Testament and “Jesus who has come” in the New Testament. Also, the conclusion of the Old and New Testaments is “Jesus who will come again.” So, in Revelation 22:20, Jesus concludes, “Come, Lord Jesus, amen.” Jesus said, “Truly, I am coming soon.”

Today's text is a parable of the talents that teaches us to do our best among the attitudes of the saints preparing to meet Jesus who will come again.

“Someone” means the Lord as Master.

“To go to another country” refers to the Lord leaving this world and ascending to heaven.

“Servants” refers to those who believe in the Lord.

In terms of mission, “entrusting one's ownership” means ① position, and generally ② means wealth.

① In the case of a position, you must show allegiance.

1 Timothy 1:12 says, “He counted me faithful, and he entrusted me with his ministry… As the saying goes, “You must be faithful when you take on the position entrusted to you within the church. In other words, you need to take it seriously, and put it at the center of your thoughts.

② In the case of property, you must manage it well and make a profit for the owner.

Because we are the stewards, and all possessions belong to the owners. It is not the faith of the master, nor the faith of others who are indifferent without attachment, but must have the faith of stewardship to faithfully carry out the entrusted duties. Honestly, where are ours? You came empty-handed, didn't you? That's why 1 Timothy 6:7 says, "We brought nothing into the world, and we can take nothing out of it... ”. As important as these words, the desire of the entrusted master is loyalty, truth, and devotion (Matthew 24:45). In Revelation 2:10, “Be faithful to death, and I will give you the crown of life.” In 2 Tim. 4:8, “After fighting the good fight and keeping the faith, I will give you the crown of righteousness…” ”, 1 Thessalonians 2:19 promised a “crown of pride” when evangelism and ministry were well done. This is the reward.

God has promised rewards to the believers who live their faith. The Bible is simple. If you say “do it”, you will be compensated, if you do not, it will be a loss. If you say "don't do it," it's a loss, and if you don't, it's a reward. Damage means curse, judgment, and death.

Recently, while organizing year-end tax settlement data, we presented statistics on donations such as tithes and construction donations. Most of the tithes have gone up, but some are concerned when they think of those who are declining or not giving in the middle.

①I am worried about whether life is difficult due to the lack of income as a spiritual parent.

②Isn't it because the pastor's heart lost faith? is a worry.

Malachi 3:10 says, “Pay your tithes and thanksgiving, and it will be poured out so that there is no room for storage.” We want to examine whether God has poured out so that there is no place to accumulate blessings in the lives of our believers. The most important things in a person's life are clothing, food, and wine. Before the Gospel came to this earth, we lived in poverty and hardship. But now, how did God bless you so that you have no place to build it?

1) Clothing (): Clothing is so precious that it cannot be compared with the past when I had been wearing it for several years. Clothes are scattered all over the closet, the hangers are overflowing with clothes, and the clothes collection bins that throw out the outdated and worn-out things are spread out in neighborhoods and apartment complexes, and you will see that there are clothes overflowing in them.

2) Food: Last year, food waste in South Korea was 4048,000 tons, which was higher than the stock consumption of 22.17 million people in North Korea, 3.95 million tons. In terms of money, this is a total of 8 trillion won, and it is said that the cost of recycling and processing alone is about 400 billion won. On the other hand, North Korea, which was better to live in than South Korea until the 1980s, persecuted the church and said that there is no God, and tried to live a good life with the ‘Star Viewing Movement’ and ‘Stretching Your Back and Stretching Your Back,’ but you can see that they are living a miserable life. The situation is in contrast to South Korea, where there is no place to accumulate rice.

3) Joo (): The concept of a house is completely different from the old days when you couldn't paint wallpaper, lived without lights, and the whole family slept in one room. Even though there are a lot more people now, each person has their own room and built so many apartments that are good to live in, so construction companies are struggling with unsold apartments.
