Ecclesiastes 12:13 Right Relationships
Humans are social animals and live in relationships. When the relationship goes wrong, you are unhappy. So, you need to have a good relationship. Adam, the first human being, was happy when he lived in a right relationship with God. However, Adam's wife, Eve, had a relationship with Satan, which she should not have, and ate the fruit of the forbidden fruit, and made Adam eat it as well.
When the relationship was broken, sin and death entered the world, and all relationships were broken. The relationship between people was broken, and Cain killed Abel. And the relationship with nature has been broken, and the age of the weak and the weak has come to an end. The tribulation and all kinds of wrongdoings in the world now are side effects from broken relationships. So, above all else, you need to cherish the relationship and build the right relationship.
1. We must establish a right relationship with God.
The main text, Ecclesiastes, is the Bible that is like a memoir that gives life-oriented lessons written by Solomon at the twilight of his life. Solomon was the person who enjoyed the most wealth and glory in human history. But, after enjoying all the riches and honors, at the twilight of life, he confesses, "Vanity is vanity, all things are vanity" (Ecclesiastes 1:2). confessed.
If a person who has never enjoyed wealth and glory says such a thing, no one will believe it, but this is the confession of Solomon, who has enjoyed all the wealth and glory more than anyone else. That confession is a sincere confession. But Solomon said that among vanity, there is one thing that is eternal and is the duty of life. It is the duty of man to remember the Creator in his youth and before the troubled days (Ecclesiastes 12:1), and to fear God and keep his commandments. .(Ecclesiastes 12:13)
To summarize Solomon's confession: 1) Money and wealth are not everything in life. 2) It is that wealth and fame are not everything in life. 3) Popularity and authority are not everything in life. 4) Pleasure is not everything in life.
Then what is life and what is man's duty? It is the duty of life to fear God and keep God's commands. That is why man's duty is not to make money, not to hold power, not to gain popularity or fame, not to enjoy them, and to live in a right relationship with God.
In other words, no matter how successful he may be in the world without forming a right relationship with God, he is not successful. You can't say you've succeeded with things in the finite world. The real success in life is to restore the relationship with God that Adam broke through Jesus Christ. This is the greatest success. It is eternal success and salvation. If you believe, let's say Amen.
What kind of relationship do you live with God? “God is the Creator and I am the creature.” Building relationships like this is fundamental to life. We must believe that God created the heavens and the earth and created me as a spiritual being in His image. Guys, don't be fooled. My roots are not monkeys. My roots are not amoeba. We must no longer be deceived by the falsehood that monkeys and amoebas are my ancestors, who are very closely related to me.
And, “God is my Father, and I am His child.” How good are you guys? The Bible says: “Even though you are evil, if you know how to give good gifts to your children, how much more will your Father who is in heaven give good things to those who ask him?” (Matthew 7:11) Everyone, as children of God, if we ask God for help, our God the Father is running. Help us. He takes care of us. Therefore, when it is difficult in a foreign land, try calling out ‘Father!’
And we need to establish a relationship that says, “God is my shepherd and I am the sheep of his pasture.” God, the Shepherd, makes us, his sheep, lie down in green pastures and leads us to still waters. Therefore, we do not get lost and wander. And I am not afraid of the valley of the shadow of death, because the rod and staff of God, the shepherd, comfort me. He is the One who rewards us in the sight of our enemies and makes our cups overflow.
How is your relationship with God now? Are you in the right relationship right now? Could it be that the relationship is wrong? Isn't your relationship with God fading away and estranged? Could it be that the problem has arisen because of a wrong relationship with God? How many times do you call Heavenly Father in your life? How much do you appreciate the sovereignty of your Creator? How much do you believe in the protection and guidance of the Shepherd?
From now on, I hope you have a right relationship with God. I hope that you will live your life in a right relationship with God. When the Israelites had problems in the world, they always put their relationship with God first. When the Philistines attacked, they gathered at Mizpah and restored their relationship with God first by repenting and fasting and worshiping God. Then God solved all of the following problems.
Jehoshaphat also prayed to God when the enemy invaded and the nation faced a crisis, so he restored his relationship with God first, and the crisis turned into a blessing. Hezekiah also called to God when he was ill and restored his relationship with God first. His life was extended for 15 years, and he was saved and protected from the Assyrians. This was especially the case during the period of the Judges, but whenever it was difficult, I first thought about my relationship with God and solved the problem.
In particular, Daniel and Shadrach Meshach Abednego, who lived in foreign lands as captives, valued their relationship with God more than their lives. Then God saved them from the fire and from the lions' den. Even though Joseph was framed and imprisoned, he kept a right relationship with God to the end. Then God took him out of prison and made him prime minister of Egypt, so that he could rescue many people from famine.
Also, a man named Job lost all of his possessions, all his 7 sons and 3 daughters died, his wife left, and he fell ill and groaned. Then God blessed Job twice. Gentlemen, God did not disappoint those who kept their relationship to the end no matter how difficult it was, and saved them all.
Gentlemen, you must not neglect your relationship with God because of people. We must not neglect our relationship with God because of worldly affairs. You should not use the excuse of being busy to disappoint God. No matter how busy and busy you are, you must prioritize your relationship with God and be busy. Problems arise when the relationship with God becomes distant with the excuse of being busy. Before that, you need to build a right relationship. I pray that you will establish a right relationship with God.
A right relationship with God is established through worship. God is looking for people who worship in spirit and in truth, and He wants to have a relationship with them. Also, a right relationship with God is established through prayer. God meets us through prayer, and through prayer He provides us with His power. Also, a right relationship with God is achieved through obedience. Obedience to God's Word will bring you closer to God and maintain a right relationship with Him. However, if you continue to disobey God's Word, your relationship with Hana Nam will become distant and difficult.
Also, through repentance, a right relationship with God is established. Sin separates and separates us from God. But repentance brings me back to the God who has been separated. Therefore, if you think that you and God are separated, you must repent of your sins. If you love the pleasures of the world more than God, and repent of your sins of indolence in God's work, your relationship with God will be restored.
And through devotion and service, a right relationship with God is established. If we work hard at the Lord's work, we become closer to the Lord. You get more love from the Lord. Even in this foreign land, no matter how hard or busy you are, I pray that you will grow closer to God and enjoy God's blessings and happiness as you build a right relationship with God like a great man of faith and dedicate yourself to God with kindness, humility, and sincerity.
2. We must establish a right relationship with people.
The Bible tells us that we should have a right relationship with God and a right relationship with people. A right relationship with people is the second most important thing in our lives after our relationship with God. There is a thing called 'bullying' these days, which comes from not being able to form a right relationship with people. No matter how much prayer he prays and full of spiritual power, if his relationship with other people goes wrong, he will eventually be unable to lead a normal life.
Relationships with people include marital relationship, relationship with parents and children, relationship between mother-in-law and daughter-in-law, relationship with neighbor, relationship with work colleagues, relationship with seniors and juniors, relationship with clergy, relationship with church members, relationship between teacher and student, etc. We live in this kind of relationship whether we like it or not, and when the relationship goes wrong, we get stressed and suffer.
In order to establish a good relationship with people, 1) you need to learn to understand the other person's point of view. 2) You must learn to treat yourself before you are treated. 3) You need to learn how to praise others by looking at their strengths rather than their weaknesses. God wants us to be happier because Christians not only have a right relationship with God, but also their relationship with other people God has created for us.
3. We must establish a right relationship with the world.
The Lord said that we Christians should be light and salt in the world. We are the beings who need to change the world with the gospel. After God created everything, He told Adam and Eve to rule and protect the created world. This is called a cultural mission. However, many Christians forget this cultural mission and immerse themselves in the secular culture and do things like the rest of the world.
We must change the culture of the world into the holy culture of God wherever we are, whatever our profession or what we do. Instead of following the world's fashion, we must create the biblical God's fashion. We must create good fashions, such as a fashion for prayer, a fashion for living honestly, a fashion for living right, a fashion for helping others, and a fashion for keeping even one small order.
draw conclusions. People need the right relationship. Because we come from God, we must have a right relationship with God, because we live with people, we must have a right relationship with people, and because we live in the world, we must have a right relationship with the world. If any of these relationships are broken, you will have an unhappy life. Everyone, I pray in the name of the Lord that you will continue to strive for right relationships in this foreign land and participate in the happiness that comes from right relationships.
