Title Romans 05:3-4 Trials to Blessings
Contents Romans 5:3-4
Everyone in the world faces trials. However, there are some people who grow up through trials and enjoy a successful life, while others are ruined by trials. Sadly, most people fall into the latter.
Lincoln, the 16th President of the United States, remains a respected president as he led the Civil War to victory and emancipated slaves. His life until he became president was a series of failures. However, as a result of his reliance on God and challenging himself to the end, he was elected president at the age of 51 and accomplished the task brilliantly.
Even in the Bible, there is a person named Joseph who grew up through trials. Joseph had the love of his father Jacob. Joseph was sold to Egypt by his brothers, and although there were difficulties such as being framed and imprisoned in Egypt, he overcame difficult circumstances by trusting and relying on God who is always with him. He became the prime minister of Egypt and grew up to be a savior of his family and the nation of Israel. It is the result of holding on to hope without giving in to the environment.
We, too, should imitate these forefathers of faith and become people who turn trials into blessings. To do that, you must first pray. Prayer is to humble yourself and meet God. When we get down on our knees and pray, we realize the cause of our trials, and we gain strength and courage to overcome them. King Jehoshaphat, who ruled Judah, prayed to God when Ammon, Moab, and King Seir unitedly attacked. Prayers in absolute poverty are more humble and earnest, and there is no other choice but to give to God in our hearts and minds. God answered King Jehoshaphat's prayer and gave him victory in the absence of weapons and soldiers. Prayer is to build a noble history.
Next, we must turn trials into opportunities. God tells us to rejoice when we face trials, because trials are opportunities. Just as the field is precious when you know that the field has hidden treasures, you can endure trials if you know that trials become channels of blessings. Finally, we must realize that trials are blessings. Trials are the process of receiving blessings. We must not constantly change and the more difficulties we face, the more we must endure and return to our original position as God's people. So, we too should become the protagonists who turn trials into blessings.
