Title Saints! We must be one in Jesus

Text: Ephesians 4:1-6
Since the pilgrimage to Israel for the second time in 15 years gave me so much to study, I would like to thank all the members who gave glory to God and prayed. Even those who have not yet made the pilgrimage to the Holy Land, I hope you will join us in January next year.
If so, is the land of Canaan, the holy land of Israel, a paradise?
no. It is a land where you never know when or where you will meet something. Even so, it is still a holy land, a land blessed by God, and a land where our ancestors received grace, prayed, received the Holy Spirit, evangelized, persecuted, and martyred. This is the land that God promised to Abraham, Isaac, Jacob and their descendants. When Israel gained independence on May 24, 1948, Israel was fighting every day, saying, “Get out of the way” to the Palestinians who have lived in the past, saying, “Israel is our land that has been lived in the generations of Abraham, Isaac, and Jacob.”
I had this thought in a scene that made me think about the inconvenience of the Palestinians who are not able to come and go because they are surrounded by concrete walls, the suffering of the Jews who have to watch over them, and the great will of God hidden in them.
God! Please stop unification and let South Korea become one.
God! Even if you leave South Korea aside, let only believers who believe become one.
This is the topic of today's talk.
Now the world is coming together (EU, Asel, etc.). In the European Union, there are borders between countries, but they have become borderless countries where they can cross freely, and even their currency has become one. Of course, unity in the world has complex meanings, including human interests, inter-state interests, and political compromises. The Internet made it possible to see all the information of the world at a glance, and through the TV, it was possible to know the events of the world from the comfort of the bedroom. Language unification, economic unification, and national unity are gaining momentum.
The centerpiece of today's sermon title is “One”.
When ‘one’ is used, it is used in ① the beginning of a number ② when expressing uniqueness, ‘the only God’ or ‘there is only one (one)’. In today’s text as well, in the meaning of “one,” in the Greek, ‘hen’ is used seven times, and ‘ace’ and ‘mina’ are used two more times with the same meaning.
“Make every effort to keep the unity of the Spirit. There is one body, one Spirit, one Lord, one faith, one baptism, one God.”
In a word, this means “there are one saints who live by faith in Jesus.”
Let's be one in the state. In Jesus Christ, the saints are one brother and one sister. But more importantly, though we are one, “God is one.”
The word ‘one’ in “God is one” means the one and only God. In other words, “God alone is the truth.” ② God the Father, God the Son, and God the Holy Spirit, who work in the Trinity, are not three but one God. Therefore, the Triune God works from afar, works from the side, works from within, and works as a God who creates, saves, and seals.
Similarly, Christians from different countries, different languages, different skin tones, different schools, different hometowns, and all things are different, but in Christ we are one. One brother and one sister. They are descendants of Adam spiritually, they have the same master, they have the same cross, and they are the descendants of God created by God.
Our saints, who are godly descendants created by God only,
First, we must have one mind.
Philippians 2:3 “Be of one mind and do nothing through strife or vanity.”
We must unite with one mind, that is, one heart.
Second, as in Matthew 6:24, “You cannot serve two masters...” You must serve one master.
Dear members of Shepherd Church,
We are one family of faith, united in Christ, living with one God as our Father. Let's pray for each other with one heart, strive for unity and revival of the church, and pray and evangelize for the nation's development and gospel unification.
Let's all confess by faith.
“Let’s be one in Jesus”.
“Let’s become one at the Shepherd Church!”.
Hallelujah! Amen.
