Title Say Thank You
Contents
It would be nice to change to an environment of appreciation, but where does the environment change easily? If we postpone being grateful until circumstances change, we will be unhappy until then. On the occasion of Thanksgiving, let's examine my own life of gratitude through the ten lepers, whether they lived a year of gratitude or resentment.
1. It is that it is not (easy) to be grateful.
Gratitude is not as easy as we think. In the text, there was only one person among the ten who gave thanks. The reason is that, as Romans 1:21 points out, man has fallen. Even though they were healed of the terrible leprosy, the nine were crushed by their fallen nature and forgot to give thanks. Even though we have been healed from the disease of sin, set free from the burden of sin, and delivered from death, the result of sin, are we not ourselves without the faith of gratitude?
2. God gives thanks (won) to us.
The visitors who had to live with a cursed fate would not be wasted in any way to thank Jesus for healing them. But there was only one person who returned to Jesus and gave thanks. When Jesus saw that figure, he said, "Were not all ten cleansed? Where are the nine? Has no one returned to give glory to God?" God wants us to be thankful. We want you to express our gratitude. This is God's will.
3. Gratitude is for the fact ( me ).
It is not because God is greedy and wants to take care of his share. It's for us. Because if we give thanks, it will be a blessing to us. The Samaritan glorified God with a loud voice, and God greatly exalted him. But the other nine suffered disgrace. God asks us to give thanks for the gift of salvation and the joy of heaven and spiritual happiness.
I bless you in the name of the Lord that your thoughts will be filled with gratitude, your lips will overflow with gratitude, your eyes to find things to be thankful for, your feet to move to give thanks, and the saints who will be able to express your gratitude and be filled with the riches of God.
