to serve in the dictionary <.. to serve; Work hard for .., work for ..> In English, it is called <serve>. It means <serve, serve, entertain, prepare (food), provide>.
Today, I would like to testify to the Word and pray about <service>, which is an important virtue of the Christian life of faith.
In the text, Jesus spoke of the purpose of his coming into this world. “The Son of Man came not to be served, but to serve, and to give his life as a ransom for many” (Matthew 20:28).
It is not easy to <serve> someone. If it was easy, who wouldn't do it? However, <serving> is a part that believers in Jesus must take care of. This is because, as we have already confirmed, <Jesus, the great teacher of the doctrine of faith, came to this earth. Jesus served people, but he served by giving his life as a ransom.
Then, if you do not serve and you do not know how to serve, you will have a serious problem. Like the one who received the one talent, the Lord will rebuke you for being an “evil and lazy servant.”
Therefore, Romans 12:7 says, “If you are serving, you should put effort into serving. is saying We believe that we should live a life of “serving” in imitation of Jesus in order to be worthy of our office and to be worthy of our Christian status.
So, who is the target of serving? Who should I serve?
First, the object of Christian service is God.
In the hymn of the gospel <2062>, “He is Jehovah, the God of creation.
He is the spice of Gilead, the LORD God Almighty.
The God of the Rock, He is the God of Healing.”
He is the God who created us, the God of God who gave us the atonement and salvation of eternal life through Jesus Christ. Like David's journey in Psalm 23, God is a good Father who leads us to 'green pastures by calm waters'. He is the majestic God who will judge the world with fire, and will reign with righteousness, holiness, peace, eternal life, and happiness. It is the duty of human beings to serve this great Lord God.
When we come to serve God, God declares this.
“A people like this are a blessed people. Blessed are the people who serve the Lord as their God” (Psalm 144:15).
Also, Colossians 3:23 says, “Remember that you receive an inheritance from the Lord. You are servants of the Lord Christ.”
In Revelation 2:19, the resurrected Jesus Christ said that He knew the hard work of those who showed love, faith, and service well. “I know your works, your love, your faith, your service, and your patience, and I know it is better than the first act.”
Therefore, we believe that we should serve the Lord God well with utmost love and faith, regardless of who knows or does not know. Great God What should we serve our Lord God with?
1) Worship is faith. Worship is the yellow body of service. Please serve the Lord God well with thorough worship.
2) Serving with prayer. Serving the Lord without prayer is hard work. When we have fellowship with Him in prayer, we can serve the Lord with the helping grace of the Holy Spirit. Therefore, the people who served God well in the past were, without exception, people of prayer.
It is said that Abraham, Moses, David, Daniel, Jesus himself, and his apostles, James, knelt down and prayed a lot, and became as hard as a camel's hoof. someone sucks Believe that "Heaven is going to your knees..." and serve the Lord with your knees of prayer.
3) And by obeying the Word, we serve God.
In serving God, God spoke through Samuel as he rebuked King Saul for disobeying that obedience was the priority of faith. Samuel 15:22-23, “Samuel rebuked him. "Which do you prefer? Do you prefer obedience to your word? Or offer burnt offerings or peace offerings? Listen carefully. Obedience is better than sacrifice, and obedience is better than ram's fat.
Rebellion is the sin of divination, and stubbornness is the sin of worshiping idols. Because the king has rejected the word of the Lord, the Lord has also rejected the king, so that he cannot become king.”
Therefore, to obey well is to serve well. Because obedience is the right content of service, we bless you to serve God through obedience.
Second, the object of service is people.
Jesus said that he came to serve people. That is why He said that He came to give His body as a ransom, and He opened the way for us to be forgiven of our sins that are destined to perish by shed His precious blood on the cross. He made it possible for anyone to be forgiven and escape from hell if they just believed in the atoning blood that the Lord shed. If Jesus, the Creator God became a man, came to serve people who are sinners of destruction, much less what should we do? We are not greater than Jesus. More than dust, we are ourselves. Then, we believe that we should serve those whom Jesus served.
The Apostle Paul introduces a family that served the saints well. It is the family of Stephana, the firstfruits of Achaia. 1 Corinthians 16:15, “The family of Stephanas is the firstfruits of Achaia, a family devoted to serving the saints.”
- A family dedicated to serving the saints- It was said to be Stevana's family.
We also believe that we should serve the Lord with comfort, serve the saints, and devote ourselves to serving people.
So, how should we serve?
You must serve humbly. We should think about what it means to be humble and serve as such. Otherwise, it becomes a vice. You should know how to be polite from start to finish. A polite greeting is the beginning of humility. serve without words. If you talk a lot, who is that humble? Don't become a public servant. You must devote yourself to serve. Like Stephana's family in the Achaia local church, they should serve with sacrifice. Serve, but serve with the heart of the Lord. Such service is perfect service. In his service people will find Jesus and meet Jesus. I hope that serving with the heart of the Lord will become your service. <National Education Charter> You know. “I was born on this earth with a historical mission” We Christians should say that we exist to <serve God> and <serve people around me>. Please follow along and try again! “I exist to serve God and man in Christ.” congratulations on buying it
Finally, it is the result of the person who served.
First, you will become great in heaven.
Jesus said in Matthew 19:14, “Allow the children to come to me, and do not stop them. The kingdom of heaven belongs to such people.” Matthew 18:4, “Therefore, whoever humbles himself like this child is the greatest in the kingdom of heaven.” Children grow up under adults and serve them. I believe that it is saying that such a child-like person belongs to heaven and is recognized as the greatest person.
Jesus said in Matthew 23:11-12, “He who is first among you must be your servant. He who exalts himself will be humbled, and he who humbles himself will be exalted.”
Serving is possible only when you humble yourself in front of people. He said that those who humble themselves and serve others will be exalted and become great people in heaven. Jesus said, “Where I am, those who serve me will be with me. If anyone serves me, my Father will exalt him.” Yes! Here, I bless you all who humble yourself and serve God and people, and then live as great people and those who are served in the splendid heaven.
Second, to be recognized and praised by God and people.
In Daniel 6:26, Daniel, while serving God with integrity, was framed by his enemies and thrown into the den of hungry lions. One night has passed. It's obvious that it will become a lion's meal. But the king who loved Daniel came to the lion's den where Daniel was thrown. It was confirmed that God had protected Daniel. The king acknowledges, praises, and praises God for keeping Daniel in the lions' den, and issues a decree. Daniel 6:26, “I am promulgating this decree. All the people under my rule in my kingdom must honor and fear the God whom Daniel serves. The living God reigns forever. The kingdom will not perish, and his power will never end.” -Hallelujah-
Yes. Those who serve God, and those who serve people according to His will, believe that they will be recognized by God, recognized and praised by others.
Some people say, “The secret to becoming a person recognized by God, the church, the workplace, and the school.”
Yes! Please believe that kindness and service will result in pleasing God and being recognized and respected by others.
<Kemons Wilson, founder of international motel> talks about 'how to take good care of God's garden' in 4 ways.
"first. Plant five seeds. (Prayer seeds. Preparation seeds. Swift seeds. Patience seeds. Courtesy seeds.)
Second, pull out the three weeds. (Gossip, criticism, indifference)
third. Give five manures. (Love manure. Faithful manure. Loyalty manure. Concession consideration manure, truth manure.)
fourth. Catch three bugs.
A sloth worm that neglects to attend church.
A bug of laziness who thinks other people will do it even if it’s not me.
<The worm of indifference> who leads a religious life wet with inertia I think the <worm of indifference> in our own garden of faith is neglecting to serve God and people. Catch the worm of indifference from your garden of faith. So, I bless you to lead a life of service with interest.
<3 seconds of happiness>
When in the elevator, wait 3 seconds before pressing close. Maybe someone really is coming in a hurry.
Even if the starting signal is gone and the car in front is standing, do not press Klaxon and wait for 3 seconds The person may be conflicted at an important crossroads in life.
If there is a car that cuts in front of you, just stand there for 3 seconds and wait.
That person's wife may be really sick.
Even when you're really angry and can't stand it, lift your head up for 3 seconds and look at the sky.
I have nothing to be angry about, isn't it?
-Hallelujah!- 3 seconds to spare! If you are considerate of other people's position and live with a three-second margin, the thought of being considerate of others is a beautiful part of humility.
Therefore, in the light of the word given today, we hope that Christians will believe that they are destined to live a life of service.
There is a saying “Anyone can become an adult. Still, no one is an adult. Because they do not give up their own.” said
Paul made this confession. “My Lord and the God whom I serve” (Acts 27:23) “I am proud to serve God in Christ Jesus” (Romans 15:17).
We sincerely hope that once again we can close the collar of our faith and serve God above and serve those around us sideways. And I hope you all serve each other. So, I bless you in the name of the Lord that you will appear as a great person in heaven on that day in the future.
