The shortcut to blessing (Ex 15:22-27)

People should eat when they are hungry and drink when they are thirsty. Thirst is as unbearable as the pain of hunger. The Israelites crossed the Red Sea like land and marched for three days toward Canaan, but they could not find water.

Having spent three days without water under the scorching sun, I can understand their desperate situation. Then I found water in one place. How happy would you have been? So they frantically clinged to the water and tried to drink it. The water was so bitter that it was impossible to drink at all. So they called the place Mara.

The word "mara" has the meanings of bitter, painful, bitter, painful, etc. They worked hard to find the spring water, but when they found that the water was so bitter that it became undrinkable, the people were very disappointed. That disappointment led to a grudge against Moses.

So the thanksgiving for the Exodus disappeared from them, and the joyous thanksgiving that crossed the Red Sea like dry land disappeared from them.

When the leader Moses faced such a difficult reality, he immediately prayed to God. God’s instruction, that is, if he took a tree and threw it into the water, the bitter water was changed into sweet water, and the water was made to be eaten by the people, thus quenching their thirst. content. Through the miracle of the change of water in the text, we want to receive grace as follows.

It's to test humans.

After leaving Egypt and crossing the Red Sea like land, we arrived at Marah 3 days later. He was mentally and physically exhausted because he was fleeing from the pursuit of the Egyptian army. Arriving in Mara, I want to rest my body and mind, but above all else I try to quench my thirst before hunger, but there is no water to drink. They wandered here and there and found water, but it was too bitter to eat.

How would they feel in this situation? It is said that our human body is 70% water. However, I haven't been able to drink water for 3 days, so my throat is dry. In the meantime, the water they found is undrinkable and undrinkable. I think this is actually God's plan to test hearts on humans.

In the face of the reality of living in human affairs, it is not just one or two people who stand in the way of many difficult problems to solve. In a way, when we are in such a desperate situation, we come to know the limits of human beings, and sometimes we can also find the Creator who has become the absolute. In other words, it can be said that what God made them achieve at such a desperate time is a test period to see if they have faith in them.

We should not only know God in the midst of the prosperity and blessings of the saints, but we should become those who seek God even in difficulties. Isaiah 48:10) "Behold, I have refined you, but not as silver; I have chosen you in the furnace of affliction." It is God's work to turn bitter water into sweet water. To give the people of Israel Canaan, a land of blessing flowing with milk and honey, there was a life of trial in the wilderness for 40 years. God has always provided greater grace and blessings and refined individuals and nations through Mara.

It is not a settlement for them.

For them, if Mara was a land flowing with oil like the Canaan welfare land, they might have tried to settle here. However, since there is not even water to drink here, they must have wanted to leave because they were in Anju, and even if Moses invited them to stay, they would have wanted to leave.

What you should be happy about is that you are not satisfied with your current life and since you do not have that satisfaction, you will strive for true happiness, study, work, and realize that there is no satisfaction and no settlement in this world. You will need to know what you are looking for. However, some people do not discover the mysterious truth about God in their circumstances, but compare them with anyone in their own situation, denying the work of God, and some believers fall apart to live their own way, away from the Lord. There are believers who are going out into the world because of this. We need to reconsider these things.

This is to increase the authority of the leader Moses.

It was only three days after they left Egypt, but they could not endure the thirst and pain that first came upon them, and they complained and attacked Moses. Verse 25 says, “Moses cried out to the Lord, and the Lord gave him a tree, and he threw it into the water, and the water changed.” It can be said that this was a privilege that only Moses could do at that time. Moses prayed earnestly to God. Moses did not argue with them, but immediately asked for God's help. In answer to Moses' prayer, God taught him how to sweeten the water, and Moses followed that method, and the bitter waters of Marah turned into sweet water.

This was a temporary phenomenon, but they had a different view of Moses, and Moses' authority was increased. (Acts 28:6) "They waited for him to swell or suddenly fall down and die. When they saw that there was nothing wrong with him even after waiting for a long time, they turned around and thought and said, "It is a god."

The people of Malidera treated Paul as a sinner when he was bitten by a viper, but when there was nothing wrong with the bite, he was revered as a god. From this, we can see that God's ministers are personally responsible, respected, and able to do the work.

That you shouldn't take anything.

It can be seen that they cannot eat all the water for them. The land we live in can be roughly analyzed as rainwater, river water, seawater, well water, etc. The double edible water is well water that springs from the ground. Only this water is edible. However, there are many examples of misfortunes due to poor choices at times.

It was very unfortunate that Jesus also made Judas Iscariot a disciple. Even for "Achan", it was very unfortunate that the spoils were taken. It was very unfortunate that Gehazi also took the gift of return from "Naaman". There are many things in the world that become unhappiness even with such gains.

Ladies and gentlemen, above all else, we must take the Holy Spirit. He said that when the spirit prospers, all things prosper. Therefore, if you take what you see in the world, you will bring great unhappiness in your life.

There is no satisfaction in the pilgrimage of the world.

At that time, they were just strangers on their way to the settlement of Canaan. For a traveler, changes in the environment are frequent, but satisfaction is not found. This is because you are not mentally and mentally stable and there is a place you have to go.

In a spiritual sense, this world is called a traveler's way. In other words, the eternal heaven, my hometown, is a traveler's way to enter. That is why there is no true satisfaction and joy in life. However, among those who have unbelief today, they feel conflict in their faith because they wish to find happiness on this traveler's road. Also, many people should realize that this world is a stranger's way, but it is a pity that they do not know such a truth, and therefore there is no great regret because they are not looking for Jesus. A stranger can only enjoy peace when he goes to his hometown. The hometown where life will return is eternal heaven. It is only by going here that you will find true happiness. For one person in the world, worry and anxiety do not go away.

Even in despair, there is hope.

The water they got in three days, the water they couldn't drink. For those who couldn't drink, they reached the lowest point of despair. But God, who heard Moses' prayer, changed it into drinkable water, so we were greeted with a new hope. There was a case in which the Lord raised the widow of Nain when her only son died and was following the procession to be crowned and weeping (Luke 7:11-17).

In (2 Kings 4:1-7), the wife of a student of a prophet died with her husband in debt. Now, because of that debt, even my brothers and sisters have been taken away. Unexpectedly, I went to the prophet Elisha and told him I was wrong, and by doing what his prophet told me, I was able to pay off all my debts and receive financial blessings enough to live with my two sons. In this way, there is no misfortune in Jesus, and even if there are some difficulties, there is an example of receiving the blessing of blessings from the cause. Therefore, we should not be discouraged by any adversity, but only trust and believe in the Lord.

7. It is asking for changes in lives.

Bitter water has become sweet water, and the water that cannot be eaten has become drinkable water. There is no greater change than this. Our Christianity is also a religion of change. The Lord also demands and desires change.

(John 3:5) "Jesus answered, "Truly, truly, I say to you, unless one is born of water and the Spirit, he cannot enter the kingdom of God." (2 Corinthians 5:17), "a new creation in Christ," and (Galatians 6:15), "the newly created one," and (Ephesians 4:22-24), "put off the old self that is after beads, and It will be new.”

Apostle Paul, a Jew, persecuted Jesus to destroy the gospel and ideology. He went to Damascus to kill believers. Hearing the voice of Jesus, he became a new person and became a martyr for Jesus who was persecuting him.

God makes things that are not, and things that are not. Therefore, nothing is impossible for those who believe. Since the Lord has made us drink undrinkable water, I pray that the things that were not good for us will go well, and that what we could not get will be changed into a life in which we can be blessed.

shortcut

The fastest way, the most accurate way, the most, the easiest way, the most enjoyable and happiest way is the way to prayer. Prayer is the way. We must not conclude that there is no way without even praying. There has never been a road that has not been unbroken by prayer. "Acknowledge him in everything, and he will direct your paths" (Proverbs 3:6).

The shortcut to finding happiness The shortcut to finding happiness is to go beyond knowing the meaning of life and pursue the joy of being alive. Life is to live, and to live is to have fun and get a chance to be happy.

Change is a shortcut to living passionately.

If I were to pick a shortcut to always living passionately, it would be to always change.

Try new things, tackle new projects, change the way you're doing

Realize it and do anything that can make the situation new.

In the digital age, change is a fundamental principle. If you stick to what you are doing now, progress will

There is not. If you start anew with a new perspective and think about it, you will progress one step further.

Change takes strength and effort, but creates bigger and more energy.
