Title Special 8th (Noah)

Contents

Bible Characters - Noah

In those days there were Nephilim on the earth, and after that the sons of God took the daughters of men and gave birth to children, and they were mighty men, and they were famous in ancient times. When he saw that the earth had been created, he lamented that he had made man on the earth, and his heart was troubled, saying, "I will sweep away the man I have created from the face of the earth, from man to livestock and to creeping things and birds of the air, because I am sorry that I have made them." He found favor with the Lord, and these are the days of Noah: Noah was a righteous man and perfect in his time, and he walked with God, and he bore three sons: Shem, Ham, and Japheth (Genesis 6:4-10).

Noah's name means 'rest and comfort'.

Noah was brought up as a child of a godly family. Noah, the 10th generation descendant of Adam, lived a life with God. In families with praying parents, children return to God.

He says, "Psalm 37:25 From my youth until I am old, I have never seen the righteous forsaken, or his descendants begging for food."

1. One who has received grace

The Bible says that Noah was a favored man. This is where the word grace comes from for the first time. What is grace? It is a gift from God to those who do not deserve grace. The Old Testament uses the words 'Hessed' and 'Hen' to express grace, and the New Testament uses the word 'Charis'. The word translated Hessed is mercy.

The only way life can live is because of God's grace. Noah was a man of grace. Therefore, they were able to keep their faith in the face of terrible social conditions. It is grace that all men sin and not sin.

2. Noah Walked with God

Enoch walked with God, and Noah walked with God.

Micah 6:6-8 What shall I bring before the LORD to worship the Most High? Shall I go before him with a calf a year old as a burnt offering? Shall the LORD take pleasure in oil like a thousand rams or ten thousand rivers Shall I give the firstborn son, the fruit of my body for the sins of my soul? O man, the Lord has shown you what is good.

You are most happy to walk with God. It is easy to be righteous among righteous people, but it is difficult to be righteous alone when evil reigns in the world. It's hard not to compromise. It is not easy to keep justice and keep the truth in such a place.

It is the same as it was in the days of Noah and now. Jesus also quoted the days of Noah. Even if everything in the world changes, the appearance of sin does not change. How much does God not tolerate sin? He did not tolerate sin until He gave His only begotten Son. Sin doesn't go unnoticed. The punishment for sin must be found. He does not turn over his sins until he kills his own son for his sins.

Are the great sins terrifying? Are small sins terrifying? Little sins are scary. Because ordinary people do not commit major sins. However, he commits a lot of sins that go beyond the slightest. A small sin produces innumerable offspring. That is why small sins are scary.

3. God's Justice

There is love because there is God's justice. Also, justice without love is a terrible judgment. There is nothing scarier than justice without love. What is scarier than the corruption of this land is the heart of anger. Anger brings destruction. A place without forgiveness becomes a terrifying society. A society with only justice creates a destructive and unstable society. God's justice was the justice of love.

Deuteronomy 32:4 He is the Rock, his works are perfect, and all his ways are just and true, a God without deceit, just and upright.

Psalm 19:9 The way of the fear of the LORD is pure and lasts forever; and the law of the LORD is true and all are just.

# In the New Testament, the explanation is related to the time of Jesus.
