Title Stay in me

Contents

Hymn: 370 (whole 455) 'To me in the Lord'

Meditation: 'In Christ' is the life of saved believers and the driving force of life. You can see the relationship between Jesus and life and the absolute relationship with the parable of the vine and branches. You cannot do anything apart from the Lord. Therefore, it must be within the state.

Confession of Faith: Apostles' Creed

Text: “I am the vine, and you are the branches. He in me and I abiding in him, a man bears much fruit, for apart from me you can do nothing” (John 15:5).

Jesus spoke of the absoluteness of the relationship between himself and his disciples in the parable of the life principle of natural ecology. That is the parable of the vine and the branches. A believer is an organism that has received life by accepting Jesus, who is life. So, what kind of life should we as believers live?

First, you must be in the state to survive. The survival of the vine branch must be attached to the original stem. Therefore, if you ignore your relationship with the Lord and keep trying to understand it with morals and ethics, you cannot lead a life of faith. You must first receive Jesus and then maintain a personal and lasting relationship with the Lord who is in you. That is a godly life through the Word and prayer.

Second, you must be in the Lord for the sake of fruit. If a branch is attached to the original stem, it will bear fruit in due time according to the principle of life. The branch does not bear fruit because of effort and effort, but the work of life continuously supplied from the original stem makes it bear fruit. The vine produces grapes. Just as the fruit proves the vine, we prove that we are disciples by making disciples.

Third, the saints are friends who share secrets with the Lord. Jesus calls the saints friends. If we serve the Lord, obey His word, and live in His love, then that person is a friend of Jesus. Not a paper, but a friend. A friend you can share all your secrets with. Therefore, the highest wish of the saints is how to become closer friends with the Lord.

Saints! Christianity is a living relationship with Jesus, who is life. Abide in him. Then it bears the fruit of life.

Prayer: Lord of life, thank you for coming into me and making me live. Lord, help me to do your work through me by walking with you every moment. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
