Sermons for Preaching

Title Study of Proverbs 2 (Proverbs 02:2)

Proverbs chapter 2 begins with the admonition of a father to his son.

"Listen to the words of wisdom,

Set your heart on sound judgment” (2:2)

(One)

Man is not a being that lives by force. Compared to lions and elephants, humans are weak enough to be incomparable in strength. Man is a being who rules all things with wisdom. Therefore, you must make a constant effort to acquire wisdom.

“Wisdom is from the LORD.

knowledge and words that fall from his mouth,

You will become wise” (2:6).

Human wisdom is a gift from God. It is through the Word of God that human beings can learn. Therefore, human beings must constantly listen to the word of God. We must listen to and explore God's Word as if we were searching for silver or digging for hidden treasures.

What is the center of God's Word

"If you live honestly, you will help

If you live upright, you will become a shield.

Surround those who walk on the right path

You protect those who give their heart to you” (2:7-8).

Through the word of God, man learns the wisdom of living in the world.

It is the fact that if you live rightly, God will protect you. Don't be a trickster or cheater. These days, it seems that the world is succeeding and succeeding by trickery. However, they are not allowed to carry their face or spread their shoulders because they are not proud of such success and success. Anytime, anywhere, you will be driven by fear and shame.

And the greatest wisdom in life is that if you pour your heart toward God, God will protect you. “If you set your heart toward God, you will know what is right, what is right, and what is right, and what is the blessed way” (2:9). The apostle Paul said, “Man pretends to be smart, but is actually foolish. So instead of serving the immortal God, They are worshiping images of humans and animals that will perish in the world” (Romans 1:22-23). Man commits the sin of idolatry if he does not focus his heart on God.
