As I was reading the text today, a book came to mind. This is a book called 'Like Toes' written by Kim Dong-in.
This book is a short story published in a magazine called 'Donggang' in January 1932.
A brief description of the contents of this book
What do you feel about this novel?
Can you feel the father looking for a place similar to me in the image of the child he longed for and wanted so much?
It brings joy to parents when their children are born to resemble their parents. Because my alter ego will be created on this earth.
Who do you resemble?
Among my parents, I resembled my father. My father thinks so too. Not only that, but people around me also say that I and my father are very similar. Then I see my father, who is listening next to me, happy. In fact, I resembled my father not only in his appearance, but also in his quick temper and quick walking. These are called Chinese characters.
My three children are just like me. I have a timid and introverted personality because I've been alone a lot when I was young, but I didn't teach it, but my children seem to be introverts too. This could also be called . In this way, children resemble their parents. We call them 'Bungeoppang' or 'chrysanthemum bread' because they are very similar.
When children say they resemble their parents, all parents like it.
I am so excited and happy when my children say that they resemble me, but I wondered how much God would like us if we said that we resemble God. We are Cristians, people of Christ. If we say we resemble God, God will be very pleased. Do you want to be like God?
Do you want to hear the voice of God and the people around you?
What kind of life must we live to be like Jesus Christ? We want to see through the Word.
First you have to put on a new person.
What kind of clothes do we wear when we do not know the Lord?
You are clothed in sin. But now we showered with the water of salvation. So we have to put on the new man's clothes. If we take a shower with the water of salvation and put on the dirty clothes of sin again, the foul odor will still not leave our body.
What will the new person wear?
Ephesians 4:24 [Put on the new man, which after God was created in righteousness and true holiness]
It is to put on clothes made out of righteousness and holiness of truth. The ruler of righteousness and truth is a holy God.
All of us who are here now have been saved. Therefore, we must naturally resemble God who has the appearance of righteousness, and we must naturally resemble God who has the appearance of truth. Why should we look alike? Because God is my Father. If we do not resemble God and resemble other gods or idols of other nations, great things will happen.
Have you put on the new man and become like God and Jesus Christ?
When people around you look at you, are you saying, 'You are really like 'Chrysanthemum bread' with Heavenly Father?
What do you want to be like God?
We want you to be like Christ. I hope that you resemble your character. May you learn abundantly from the love, patience and grace of Jesus Christ.
Second, we must have the help of the Holy Spirit.
As you can see from our experience, we cannot do it by our own efforts. It is difficult in my opinion or will. Only with the help of the Holy Spirit can we change. Even for the disciples of Jesus, the real change did not happen in the Gospels, but in the Acts of the Apostles. It happened when there was a touch of the Holy Spirit. There was a real change in the disciples when they were moved and anointed by the Holy Spirit. When there is the anointing of the Holy Spirit, the fruit is produced.
Galatians 5:22-23 “But the fruit of the Spirit is love, joy, peace, longsuffering, kindness, goodness, faithfulness, gentleness, self-control; against such things there is no law.”
What these nine things have in common is character. Personality. A person filled with the Holy Spirit is one who receives and enjoys the disposition of Jesus Christ. If he has a good life of faith, believes in Jesus Christ and goes to church diligently, and feels like a man of the Holy Spirit, but his personality does not seem to be the case, he is not a man of the Holy Spirit. When we receive discipleship training, we want to have true changes like the disciples of Jesus. Like the disciple of Jesus in the past, we are confused, but after receiving this training well, we want to live a life that bears the fruit of the Holy Spirit. It is to become a person filled with the Holy Spirit.
Have you received the Holy Spirit? How did you receive the Holy Spirit?
We received the Holy Spirit by believing in Jesus Christ, which is not the same as being filled with the Holy Spirit.
Receiving the Holy Spirit is possible only with God's help, but being filled with the Holy Spirit requires my will and effort.
What kind of will and effort is required? It must be the life of the Word. It should be a life of prayer. It should be a life of praise.
If you live a life of the Word, prayer, and praise, you can enjoy a life filled with the Holy Spirit.
If we live in the fullness of the Holy Spirit, what will we do?
Galatians 5:25 says [If we live in the Spirit, let us also walk in the Spirit]
If we live in the Spirit, we can walk in the Spirit. With the help of the Holy Spirit, I hope that you will strive to become more like Jesus Christ.
Third, when there is the work of the Holy Spirit, we must act immediately.
When do you receive a lot of grace? When do you experience the anointing of the Holy Spirit?
We receive grace through worship and experience the anointing of the Holy Spirit. There is the Word, there is prayer, there is praise, and there is material offered. So there is a thrill through the Holy Spirit. How did you feel after receiving grace through worship? Now, do you not want to put the decision you have made in your heart into action?
As soon as you receive the favor, you must act. As soon as you receive the anointing of the Holy Spirit, you must act.
This is because when time passes and you try to do something, Satan comes and starts to eat all the grace you have received.
When you receive grace and experience the work of the Holy Spirit, when you try to do something, Satan makes you think, 'What can a poor and ignorant person like me do?'
Don't you think, 'After I have more material, when I have more time to spare, I will stand tall in front of other people and then ...'?
Now, I hope that you lay down all that heavy heart in front of the cross of Jesus Christ, and obey the guidance of the Holy Spirit and proceed.
The Lord trains us to be like Christ. He trains you by getting along with others through fellowship, and you train through the environment and conditions. We do not change at once just because we receive grace. We must continue to go through the process of sanctification until we become like Christ through training.
Because sometimes we have to not imitate this generation in order to make real changes, we will be able to go out in a different way from what the world seeks. Even then, like the disciples of Jesus, I pray that you will become the blessed saints of the Lord who go out to the throne of grace by walking the way of the cross without turning left or right, discerning where the true purpose is on the narrow path, the right path, and the true purpose. I wish you my best wishes.

Second, hold on to the believers who are engaged in discipleship and ministry training so that they can change like Jesus.
