Title [Text: Hebrews 11:11-12] Sarah's Faith
The text testifies about the faith of Sarah, Abraham's wife, and the blessings she received. He couldn't have children until he turned 90, but he believed God's promise to the end and was able to bear his precious son Isaac. This is God's blessing to those who believe. I hope that we too will receive this great blessing and enjoy it through faith in God.
1. You must believe in the power of God.
Sarah waited patiently because she believed in the power of God. He said, “Because they know that the one who promised is faithful.” In these words, the meaning of believing in the power of God is included. Only those who believe in the power of God can wait. Only those who believe in the power of God can always live with hope. Only those who believe in the power of God can pray. Only those who believe in the power of God can be faithful in the work of the Lord. Only those who believe in the power of God do not become discouraged or discouraged even when faced with adversity. After receiving the promise, as the years passed, Sarah grew old and it was impossible to have children. But he waited. Because they believed in the power of God. No condition (possibility) of accreditation is essential to God's work. Rather, God's power is more powerfully revealed in impossible situations. May we have this belief. No matter how my circumstances change, I hope that we will become believers who only look to Almighty God and trust and trust in His power.
2. You must believe in God's faithfulness.
God is the one who faithfully keeps his promises. A person's promises can change depending on circumstances. However, God is the one who always fulfills what he promises. Sarah believed in such a God. “Because they know that the one who promised is faithful,” he said. Those who believe in God as a faithful person can trust and wait for the promise until the end. Even if the years pass and the environment changes, we do not have any concerns or doubts. I am not resentful. Rather, we can glorify God.
The Bible testifies that God is faithful. You can discover that all of God's words (promises) will surely be fulfilled. The case of the descendants of Jacob who went down to Egypt and returned to the land of Canaan 400 years later is a typical example. The birth, suffering, and resurrection of Christ are also events that have already been prophesied. We too must believe in God as faithful. Once you have made a promise, you must believe that He will surely fulfill it. I hope that we will become believers who firmly believe in all the promises in the Old and New Testaments, that is, the Bible. It is said that if you ask, you will receive it, so I hope you will receive an answer by asking in faith. You said that your hard work was not in vain, so I hope you will believe and be faithful. He said he would come back soon, so believe it and prepare and wait. It is said that He will lead you to heaven, so let's rejoice in hope and faithfully lead a spiritual life. God is clearly faithful.
3. You must believe in the power of conception.
4. Even the dead and the like-minded must believe that God uses them.
“Because of one man who was like a dead man, he became as numerous as the stars in the sky and the countless sands on the seashore.” He is the God who transforms the dry bones of the Valley of Eshcol into an extremely large army, and makes Aaron's staff sprout and bear fruit. Sarah was practically a dead person. But God did not forsake him. He conceived and gave birth to a son. We evade the Lord's work by making excuses for our lack or incompetence. But God does not point out our shortcomings or incompetence. You are blaming him for not believing. Sarah believed. Only seeing that faith, he resembled a dead man, but gave birth to a son. If we have faith, we, like the dead, can be used. You will make a great history.
God wants to work through us. Let's accept it by faith. Let us believe in the power of God. Let's believe in God's faithfulness. Let us believe in giving birth. Let us believe that even the dead are bitter. I hope that all the saints who have been appointed as stewards will come forward with this attitude and bear much fruit.
