Title [Text: Hebrews 13:5-6]
Material is one of the most indispensable things in our life in the world. The Bible testifies that material things are the great blessings God gives us. However, in some cases, this material is rather life-destroying. Today, I would like to receive grace by talking about the attitude of the saints toward this material, focusing on the text.
1. Money shouldn't love (5)
In verse 5 of the main text, the writer of this book said, “Do not love money.” Money is definitely needed, but it shouldn't be the object of love. Paul gave a more concrete and specific instruction on this to Timothy, a junior minister. This is 1 Timothy 6:9-10. “Those who want to be rich fall into temptation and a snare and into many foolish and hurtful lusts, which plunge men into destruction and destruction. The love of money is the root of all kinds of evil. He pierced himself with many sorrows.” “The love of money” becomes the root of all evil. He did not say that money itself is the root of all evil, but that “the love of money” is the root of all evil. In fact, there are many people around us who are tempted because of their love for money, and who have turned away from the faith to their own ruin. Even among the clergy, there are a lot of people who love money, but there are a lot of people who fall for it. We acknowledge the need for money, but we must not become foolish saints who are tempted by the love of money.

Verse 5 says, “He himself said, ‘Surely I will not forsake you, nor will I ever leave you.
