Verse 10, Aristarchus, who was imprisoned with me, and Mark, the son-in-law of Barnabas (You received a command concerning Imacah, and when he arrives, welcome him)***
And Barnabas' nephew Mark was a person who accompanied Paul and Barnabas as assistants on the apostle Paul's first missionary journey, but did not overcome the difficulties of the missionary journey and returned. So, on the second missionary journey, Mark and Barnabas did not agree with Barnabas as to whether Mark, who had lost Paul's trust, was accompanying him, so he broke up with Barnabas after a fierce argument. After that, Mark repented of his mistakes and became a good Christian worker, gaining the trust of Paul again (2 Tim. 4:11, Phm. 24). The Apostle Paul convinces the Colossians that Mark is a person who has completely washed away the mistakes of the past and praises him as someone he can trust.
Verse 11, Jesus, who is called Justus, also greets you, because they are the Circumcision. These are the only ones who work together to promote the kingdom of God. Such people have been my comfort.
Justus, whose name means justice, was a convert among Jews who believed in Jesus Christ and had the name of Jesus. However, Jewish Christians often confused the church with the circumcision. But among them, Aristarchus, Mark, and Jesus worked hard for the gospel to the end. Therefore, the Apostle Paul was able to overcome persecution from his fellow countrymen with perseverance and to receive comfort through them.
Verse 12, Epaphras from you, the servants of Christ Jesus, greets you, who prays for you always, earnestly praying for you to stand perfectly and confidently in all the will of God.
In this verse, along with the greetings of Epaphra, the pioneer of the Colossian church, he is highly praised. In particular, Evabra prayed for the people who lost their faith so that they would not be seduced by heresies like the players on the field struggle and try and root their faith properly. When a shepherd truly loves his sheep, he has no choice but to pray for his soul.
Verse 13, I testify that he labors much for you and for those in Laodicea and for those in Hierapolis.
This verse introduces the fact that Epaphras preached the gospel to Laodicea and Hieboli, which were located near Colossae.
Verse 14: Luke, the beloved physician, and Demas, greet you*****
The fact that Luke accompanied the Apostle Paul's evangelism as the writer of the Bible's Gospel of Luke and Acts can be seen from the "we" part of Acts (Acts 16:10). He was a hidden servant who humbly served as a friend, accompanying Paul to the very end. The Apostle Paul introduces Luke, a physician and writer, to the Colossians. And Demas is an abbreviation of Demetrius, and after that he died without patience for the sake of the gospel (2 Tim. 4:10).
Verse 15: Greet the brethren in Laodicea and Numba and the church in her house.
Verse 16, After reading this letter from you, let the church of the Laodiceans also read it, and read the letter from Laodicea also *****
Verse 17, Say to Archippus, take heed to fulfill your office in the Lord.*******
