Title Thanksgiving with Tears / Luke 7:40-47
Content Luke 7:40-47 / Thanksgiving through tears
The year is coming to an end. We have a lot of regrets and regrets when we think that the things we started with big hopes and expectations at the beginning of the year didn't come as much as we thought, but we always celebrate Thanksgiving around this time of year. Rather than regret and regret, how great is the grace that made it possible to end people with gratitude and hope for a new year by counting on the grace that God has given them despite the lack of time in the past! Therefore, there is only gratitude in the Christian life. This is the gospel, grace, and blessing.
All people in the world cannot live without grace. When we are born, we come empty-handed, and when we go, we go back empty-handed. During that time, we are very weak beings that cannot survive without someone's loving care for a single moment in order to be able to exist. Therefore, considering the debt of love we have received to this day, how can we express it in words? In addition, when we think of the grace of receiving Jesus Christ so that we can become children of God through faith, and the Holy Spirit is always with us, helping us to live like children of God, and ultimately preparing us for the eternal kingdom of heaven, as the lyrics of the hymn say, “All things are for me. If there is, I will always praise the grace that my Savior has given me with that Jephthah.” In today's text, we can see that there are two kinds of gratitude in the life of thanksgiving of Christians.
Gratitude is salvation “Jesus said to the woman, ‘Your faith has saved you; go in peace.’” (50) Yes, your faith is your salvation. Faith strengthens and makes us whole. Gratitude is a powerful resistance. It is the resistance to overcome sin, Satan, and trials. As much as we are thankful, we live in the thrill and joy of salvation. I pray that this thanksgiving offered with tears will be filled in all of you at this feast of thanksgiving.
