Title Unanswered Prayer

Contents

“Heavenly Father, who rules the weather, these little children are the lives God has entrusted to me. The father of these little lives is God and I am only the secretary. Please change it to spring weather!"

As George Mueller cried out for supplication, suddenly an east wind began to blow. And the whole of England was changed to spring weather. At that time, the unusual weather like now was not common. However, God answered George Mueller's prayer, stopping the north wind and blowing a southeast wind so that the whole of England became a greenhouse.

“Do not be anxious about anything, but in everything by prayer and supplication with thanksgiving let your requests be made known to God” (Philippians 4:6).

“Call to me, and I will answer you, and I will show you great and mighty things that you do not know” (Jeremiah 33:3).

Quite a lot of Christians fully realize the importance of prayer, but do not lead a proper prayer life. So, although it is not clear that they have not prayed, their prayers are not being answered prayers, prayers of victory, and prayers with power, which is the seriousness of the problem. Saints! Prayer is indeed easy and in some ways very difficult. The fact that prayer is easy means that prayer is a way to commune with God anytime, anywhere, regardless of form. On the other hand, the fact that prayer is difficult implies the fact that the right posture that God wants is required for those who pray. The appearance of the elders of Israel who came to Ezekiel to inquire about the fate of their homeland and the future of the captives in the text shows us what a false prayer that is unacceptable to God is. Then, by examining what kind of wrong prayers that are not answered, we should try to become believers who pray with the right attitude and receive answers from God.

1. It is a prayer without repentance.

2. Selfish prayer.

What is the most important content in your prayers? It is said that among the few things included in prayer, such as praise to God, repentance, and supplication for need, the one that generally gives the greatest weight to the saints is to ask for their own needs. Of course, it is a good thing to ask God for your needs through prayer. But we know that asking for needs is only a part of prayer. Without praising God or interceding for our neighbors, it cannot be recognized as prayer in its essence, and it is not acceptable to God to be indulged in greed and to pray for one's own needs. The essential difference between praying to God and praying to idols is that it is a time for fellowship with the personal Almighty, and the fundamental purpose of prayer is to seek God's needs, that is, God's glory and His kingdom, rather than satisfy human needs. (Matthew 6:33, 34) If prayer for only the comfort of one's body and prayer for blessings seeking only material abundance are all of our prayers, our prayers cannot be answered by God. will say

3. It is a visible prayer.

The prayers of the saints must come from a pure and sincere heart than any other confession in the world. A prayer that contains false statements or a list of prayers that are conscious of others is never acceptable to God. Since God sees the heart of all people, He pleases and answers only sincere prayers that come from the depths of our hearts. Saints! But are we still accustomed to formal prayer? The outward appearance of the elders who came to God with their immediate problems looked very beautiful, but their inner condition was full of disobedience to God. Brothers and sisters, like these elders, aren't we also clinging to the form of prayer and forgetting something more important? The form we prayed is important, but it has real meaning in telling God our circumstances honestly and humbly. Indeed, any prayer that is conscious of human eyes alone will never be acceptable to God.

4. Doubtful prayer.

Jesus told his disciples, 'If you ask me anything in my name, I will do it' (John 14:14). If you ask in the name of the Lord, you will receive an answer, so do not doubt and ask. How easy is it? You can get it without any doubt. Doubting means wandering between faith and unbelief, between God and man, and in this attitude, prayers cannot be answered.

“But ask in faith, and do not doubt at all. He who doubts is like a wave of the sea driven and tossed by the wind” (James 1:6).

5. It is a prayer that repeats over and over.

To babble means to mumble over and over again in vain. Prayer without heart, prayer without truth, no matter how earnestly you pray for a long time, you can never expect God's answer. Are you also doing your prayers magically, like memorizing some kind of spell?

“And when you pray, do not keep babbling like the Gentiles, for they think that they will be heard when they speak much” (Matthew 6:7).

People who are saints! It is the wonderful grace and gift of God who opened the way for the sinful human beings who prayed to have fellowship with Him. It would be truly unfortunate if, through these prayers, we prayed for God's wrath, through communion with God, without enjoying His abundant love and without repentance, selfish prayer full of greed, false prayer, doubting and repeating prayer. is. Therefore, our prayers should be offered as praise and thanksgiving to God, and they should be supplicated on the basis of God's promises and words, and depend only on God's infinite mercy and grace. Now, check your prayer life once. Please be sure to review your own state of mind and the state of your prayers so that you do not get answers because you pray incorrectly.

* Prayer: Heavenly Father, who knows our needs, help us to seek first the kingdom of God and His righteousness, and live truthfully and faithfully, and live with satisfaction and thanksgiving with what God gives us. I want to become a person who knows the will of God and does it with joy. Remind me of those who need my prayers, and make me the first kneel day for them. I put many things before the Lord and pray, but I look back at myself because I can't bear the fruit of being filled with the Holy Spirit. Help me to seek Your will every day and lead me to a life of listening to the voice of the Holy Spirit. I pray in Jesus name. Amen
