Title Unless I'm a Child

The world looks at people's outward appearances and compares them. There are rich and little, rich and poor, powerful and ordinary. In normal times, there are many times when we are hurt by this sense of comparison. There is nothing better than me, but I live well, I am not smarter than me, but I get a better job, I am not as conscientious as me, but I do well in everything I do, I am not even better than me, but people follow me… When I see things like this, sometimes tantrums arise in my heart.
However, there is a moment when this comparison becomes obsolete, when the problem of life and death arises. Conversely, to translate this saying, “Who is more educated, despite the serious problem of life and death? Are you rich? Are you tall?” To be honest, he's just a stupid person. When the issue of life and death approaches, we have to think about how to live and find a way.
Unfortunately, most of us have this stupidity. It's because we can't feel it with our skin, but actually, every day we live is a series of problems that we live and die. The end of this world will surely come, but there will also be an end for the individual, and if you know when the end of the individual will come, you can live well prepared, but because you do not know the time and time, you live life preparing for death day by day This is truly a wise life.
Jesus' disciples were no exception to this folly. They argued before the Lord who was greater. Seriously, the quarrel again took place the night before the Lord's crucifixion, the so-called Last Supper.
How are you guys? Our heart pretends to be very humble, but sometimes even if there is something slightly better than other people, we secretly want to put it out there, and don't we feel proud that we are better than others?
Jesus put a little child in the middle. What does the Lord who puts the children in the middle say? Look at verse 3. “Truly, I say to you, unless you turn and become like little children, you will never enter the kingdom of heaven.” “Humble yourself” - this is the exact opposite of the disciples' concern. The disciples argued over who was the greatest. I wanted to become a big person. In their hearts there was more pride than humility. So, we were arguing over who was bigger. This is the heart of adults.
To such us, through today's Word, the Lord is revealing that unless we humble ourselves like a child, we are not worthy of being a citizen of the kingdom of heaven. In other words, the Lord is asking us to be humble as a condition for entering the kingdom of heaven.
May each of us become humble little children born again in the Lord, and may we do our best to raise our children into heavenly children.
