Old Testament
1. Hallelujah, praise the name of the Lord; praise him, you servants of the Lord.
2. The house of the LORD, you who stand in the courts of the house of the LORD our God, the temple of our God.
3. Praise the LORD, praise his name, for the LORD is good, and his name is beautiful.
4. For the LORD has chosen for him Jacob, even Israel, for his special possession.
new testament
19. Therefore, from now on you are no longer strangers and strangers, but you are fellow citizens with the saints, and of the household of God.
20. You are built on the foundation of the apostles and prophets, Christ Jesus Himself being the cornerstone.
21. In him every building is joined together to become a temple in the Lord.
22. You also are being built together in Christ Jesus to be a dwelling place for God in the Holy Spirit.
sermon
Our church celebrated its 105th anniversary today. From time immemorial, we have spread the gospel by sharing love as a family-like church. Even today, when one member of the family comes to church and believes in Jesus, all other family members and relatives come out to receive salvation and form a larger family community, how grateful we are. Why are we God's family?
1. Because God calls you that way. We are a family, not because we call ourselves that, but because our Heavenly Father calls us that way. We were not originally part of God's family. Being outside of Christ and outside the country of Israel, he was an outsider and a stranger without hope and without God. But God has called us in Christ to be holy.
He made us citizens with the saints and made them a family.
2. Because Jesus is the corner stone. Jesus shed His blood on the cross to destroy and bring peace between God and us. The cross also restored our separation from one another.
3. Because they are being built together in the Holy Spirit. The Holy Spirit envelops us all like a mother's warm and warm arms. We in the Holy Spirit become a temple for God to dwell in, for the Holy Spirit grants peace to all of us, whether we are far or near, to receive.
God, who established his church in Bukchon, the center of Seoul, called the Lord's workers in every age to become a family. God wants Andong Church, which is celebrating its 105th anniversary, to become a church that shows and conveys that Manmin is one family of God by forming a family in the Holy Spirit.
