Old Testament
14. Then the king sent horses and chariots and a great army, and they went by night and besieged the city.
15. The servant of the man of God got up early and went out and found soldiers, horses and chariots besieging the city. His servant said to Elisha, “Alas, my lord, what shall we do?”
16. They answered, “Do not be afraid, for those who are with us are more than those who are with them.”
17. And he prayed and said, "O LORD, please open his eyes so that he may see." The LORD opened the eyes of the young man, and he saw that the mountain was full of horses and chariots of fire all around Elisha.
new testament
9. The next day as they were on their way, they approached the city, and when Peter went up to the roof to pray, it was the sixth hour.
10. He was hungry and wanted to eat, and while the people were preparing, he was in ecstasy.
11. And the heavens were opened and they saw a bowl coming down, like a large cloth, and tied up your ears and cast them on the ground.
12. In it were all kinds of four-footed beasts of the earth, and creeping things and flying things.
13. And there was a voice saying, “Peter, get up, kill and eat
14. Peter said to him, "No, Lord. I have never eaten anything unclean and unclean."
15. And there was a second voice, saying, Thou shalt not call unclean what God has made clean.
16. After this happened three times, the vessel was immediately taken up into heaven.

Our Andong Church, in opening a new 100 years, is trying to move toward that vision by gathering the hearts and minds of all the members who have received God's vision. Until now, we have lived according to the Word and served by faith, so why do we need a vision?
First, a community without a vision perishes.
It is said that Eli was a priest when Samuel was young, and the word of the Lord was rare, and visions were not seen often. God did not give a vision to Eli who did not respect him, and he ruined his family.
Second, a community with a vision overcomes adversity.
With a vision of the land of Canaan flowing with milk and honey, Israel endured a difficult life in the wilderness. During the Babylonian captivity, God sent prophets to show them a vision, comfort them, and restore the kingdom.
Third, because only those who have faith can have a vision.
When Elisha's servant saw the enemy army besieging the city and was afraid, Elisha prayed to open his eyes of faith.
is. Then he could see more heavenly armies protecting the city than the enemy.
Let's pray that God will give our Andong church a vision. Let's pray that we can see what the mission of our church is in the difficult circumstances that the Korean church and society are facing. When we try to obey the Lord's will, God will give us a vision and the church will be united in fulfilling its mission.
