Title With all my might

With all your might (Mark 14:3-9)

In the text, the woman who devoted herself to her with all her might are Mary (John 12:3) and a sinner (Luke 7:37). An event to which she dedicated has created a new topic in Simon's house. The disciples denounced her anointing, but Jesus praised and blessed her. It is a humanistic faith that strives to be seen by people, but a neo-capitalist faith that strives and dedicates itself to God. Because King Ahab feared man rather than God, there was no rain for three years and six months, and there was a famine in the land. He lived a life of humanistic faith that did evil in God's sight (1 Kings 16:30). We must keep God-centered life and live by the faith of theocraticism. How can we truly devote ourselves with all our might, like Mary?

First, you need to know the priority of your target.

People thought that Mary's devotion was wasted (v. 4). They thought that she was wasting her dedication, loyalty, and service to God, but in the text, you can see that Jesus clearly made the priority of the object (verse 7). Just as there is a priority in work, there is also a priority in the subject. Jesus spoke of priorities versus the poor. The perspectives and thoughts of the disciples and Jesus were fundamentally different. It is natural to dedicate and serve God. You must become a person of wisdom who can discern the priorities of God's work and the world's.

Second, we must seize the opportunity well (verse 7).

You need to seize priority-driven opportunities better than ever-present opportunities. Two important opportunities are: First, you must not miss the opportunity to repent for yourself. Second, we must provide opportunities for service. Esther cast aside wealth and seized the opportunity for the nation. Opportunities do not always exist. You can succeed only if you seize God's opportunity well. The same is true of the way children treat their parents. Don't miss the opportunity to be filial when your parents are still alive. Don't stop time for yourself, seize the opportunity well, and live a life of dedication.

Third, you must be your best devotee.

Mary broke the alabaster with all her strength and poured perfume on the body of Jesus (verse 8). Mary's actions can be said to be the most devoted person. Those who dedicate themselves to God should do their best with humility. Jesus praised Mary and said, “Where the gospel is preached in all the world, what this woman has done will also be told in memory of it” (verse 9). Mary was the hero of the blessing, and her small devotion was eternally rewarded. Those who have done their best and dedicated themselves can receive eternal and great rewards as the tree of life grows. You can become the main character of the blessing that your descendants will receive blessings and the blessings of the next world. True devotion is the total devotion of body and mind. Therefore, like Maria, I believe in living a life of being the best devotee and the protagonist of blessings.
