Title Without Resurrection
Title: Without Resurrection
(1 Corinthians 15:12-17)
A butterfly and a ephemera fell in love. As the sun was setting, the butterfly said to the hawk, "Let's meet tomorrow and let's make love that we couldn't finish." The hawk said, "What does tomorrow mean?" and died...
If there is no resurrection, our lives will be like ephemera. But we know that Jesus, who died on the cross at dawn, was resurrected.
12If it is preached that Christ has risen from the dead, how do some of you say that there is no resurrection from the dead?
Christ rose from the dead. He was resurrected this morning. Mary Magdalene and the other Mary, who were looking for the tomb, were surprised to see that the tomb door had rolled over. The stone door was open because Jesus was resurrected.
Unfortunately, however, some people say that there is no conjugal life among the dead.
The Lord was resurrected this one morning. I hope that you will believe this word and have faith in the resurrection and overflow with hope.
What if there is no resurrection?
1) Christ did not rise again.
13 “If there were no resurrection of the dead, Christ would not have been raised.”
The resurrection was foretold by Jesus three times to his disciples. He said that He would overcome the power of death and rise again on the third day.
When the Lord was crucified and at the dawn of the resurrection, Mary Magdalene and another Mary came to visit, the angel said to the women, “Do not be afraid, I know that you are looking for Jesus, who was crucified. 6 He is not here, but has risen, just as he said. Come and see where he lay.”
As He said, He overcame the power of death and rose again. Therefore, without the resurrection, Christ would not have risen.
2) If there is no resurrection, preaching is also in vain.
14 “If Christ has not been raised, then our preaching is in vain.”
The Lord preached the resurrection to the disciples, and all the evangelists preached Jesus Christ, saying that He would overcome the power of death and be resurrected. John 1:12 John 3:16 Acts 16:31
You also preached this gospel. But if there is no resurrection, all the preaching of those who preach will be in vain.
3) If there is no resurrection, faith will be in vain.
“Without the resurrection,” he says, “and your faith is in vain.”
Hebrews 11:1 Faith is the substance of things hoped for, the evidence of things not seen. 6 Without faith it is impossible to please God. He who comes to God must believe that He exists and that He is a rewarder of those who diligently seek Him.
Therefore, if there is no resurrection, faith will be in vain.
4) If there is no resurrection, we are found to be false witnesses.
15 We will be found false witnesses of God, for we have testified that God raised Christ.
Without the resurrection, we all become false witnesses.
We always confess that Jesus overcame the power of death and rose from the dead on the third day, so those who believed in Jesus testified that he would rise again when the Lord returns.
1 Corinthians 15:20 Christ rose from the dead and became the firstfruits of them that slept.
1 Corinthians 15:51 Behold, I tell you a mystery, that we will not all sleep, but that at the last trumpet we will all be changed in an instant. 52 When the trumpet is sounded, the dead will be raised to immortality, and we will be transformed. When the perishable puts on immortality, and this mortal puts on immortality, 54 when the perishable puts on immortality, and this mortal puts on immortality, then the word which is written, Death will be swallowed up, and will be overcome Hallelujah!
If we proclaim these resurrection words and there is no resurrection, we will be found as false witnesses.
Resurrection is the hope of us believers, and Jesus overcame the power of death and rose to life. In the Old Testament, the ascension of Enoch and Elijah to heaven heralded the resurrection.
