Title Words and Blessings (Rev 01:1-3)
The year 1919 is slowly coming to an end. I have to live the rest of the month worthy of faith. If there is something to be settled before God and before people, it should be cleared up so that we can welcome the new year with a light and joyful heart. Type while spending this year in the grace of the Lord. There are so many intangible things to be thankful for, but I think we have no choice but to honestly confess our selves that are lacking.
As Luke 6:38 says, I pray that the blessing of 'pressing, shaking, filling, overflowing, and giving' will be with you.
The words of this text belong to apocalyptic literature as we know them well. The reason is that at the time when emperor worship was enforced. He was compelled to worship the Roman emperor Caesar. Therefore, it was absolutely unacceptable to call Christ "Lord" other than Caesar. It was taught as apocalyptic literature in order to teach them to firmly reject the worship of the emperor under such circumstances.
It is announcing the coming terrible persecution, and at the same time admonishing believers to be alert and stand firm in their faith to win the victory of faith.
These words give the answer to the secret of the believer's victory in the time of tribulation and the age of temptation.
(1) The life of Christians lies in the Word. Therefore, you must read the Word.
(2) You must always listen to the Word.
(3) This word tells us that blessed are those who hear and keep.
This is something no one can deny. Because it is the word of God. Two thousand Christian women read this word of God and grew up. You can never live a victorious life without reading the Bible. For 2,000 years, the Church of God has studied and studied these words, and those who have lived a godly life testify of the following beneficial faith.
1. The Bible makes us discover sin.
Hebrews 4:12 says, "For the word of God is living and active, and sharper than any two-edged sword, piercing even to the division of soul and spirit, joints and marrow..." does it When people become more conscious, they become arrogant and can't see their spiritual side.
I believe that the words of Proverbs 30:9, "I am full and do not know God. What does the Lord say to everyone..." is true. If you do not receive material things, power, and honors in a good way, in nine out of ten you will lose your relationship with God.
Because the Word of God was written by the inspiration of God, it allows us to see the true face of man. It has the ability to reveal the naked human nature.
I once visited the Seodaemun Detention Center for a Christmas celebration. According to the guards, even the heinous murder robbers repented after realizing the word, and they told me that there was a chance to support their eyes in the end. I have heard numerous testimonies of people who cannot be overcome by strict laws or severe torture, but once they receive the word of God, they confess that they are sinners before the cross. It can be said that it is the most sublime time as a human being to repent of your sins while weeping while being dragged to the death penalty for your sins.
2. The Bible protects us from the contamination of sin.
In 1 John 2:16, the lust of the flesh, the lust of the eyes, and the pride of life, these are the seeds of sin that reside in man's faith.
In 2 Samuel 11:2 and below, David was walking on the roof of the king's palace and saw a woman bathing, and he was seduced by his heart and flirted with Uriah's wife, Bathsheba. This can be said to be the result of David's not intentionally committing a crime, but out of a momentary lust. Humans are always weak creatures. There is a risk of stumbling. Therefore, if you always abide in the Word of God, you will be protected from these temptations. Romans 1:16 promises that the gospel is the power of God to save everyone who believes. The Word will keep us from being stained by sin.
3. The Word of God gives us the joy of life.
Romans 5:11 says, “He also rejoices before God through our Lord Jesus Christ.” Psalm 1 Blessed is the man who delights in the law of the Lord, and meditates on it day and night. As it bears fruit in its season, it shall prosper...
In John 4:14, “Whoever drinks the water that I will give him will never thirst, and the water I will give him will become in him a spring of water springing up to eternal life.” Anxiety increases. I suffer from loneliness. I am struggling with conflict. We see that Camus is trying to give an answer in his work 'The Stranger'. The mental illness suffered by modern people cannot be cured even with medicine. There is absolutely no other way than the way to meet the Lord in the Word of God.
The word of God contains light. The blood of life is flowing.
The word of God contains light. You will enjoy the joy of life through these words.
4. The Bible reminds us of our sense of duty.
In Isaiah 6, the prophet Isaiah lived comfortably in the power of the world, but hearing the voice of God, he was ignited by a new sense of duty. In a dark, gloomy, thirsty, and rebellious world, through the Word of God, He enlightens us and sends us to work for that mission. He showed John, who was exiled on the lonely island of Patmos, a vision of what he would do in the future. Jonah received the word of God and fled with a human mind. However, God compelled Jonah to go to Nineveh to do the work of salvation according to God's plan.
Countless apocalyptic signals are being shown in front of us living in modern times. Today, as the night of history deepens, we must hold fast to the word of God and confess ourselves, and walk the life of a blessed and victorious believer in the word of life that God gives us.
