Title Words define life
Exodus (35) The words define life (Exodus 14:10-14)
< Don't be afraid >
In life, crises come. Sometimes, we live obediently to the word, but business is cornered, human relationships become difficult, problems with children arise, and work becomes more difficult. Why do crises come? Even if you do not know the exact reason, believe in “God’s good will must be in this crisis” and promise to give thanks and obedience unchangingly. Then you have already overcome the situation, and soon the real situation will be reversed and the best path will unfold.
After the Exodus, the Egyptian army followed and the Red Sea was in front of them, and the children of Israel were very afraid (verse 10). You must overcome that fear. Will Israel come to an end through the crisis of the text? no. Egypt is over. Likewise, if we do not lose faith in times of crisis, the crisis will not end. Children of God do not perish because of a crisis. After all, the real crisis is a crisis of faith.
In the book of Esther, Haman put Mordecai, who he thought was the chief of the Jews, on a high pole in order to exterminate the Jews. Who runs later on that pole? Haman himself ran. This is the conclusion of the crisis the saints face. In God, a crisis is an opportunity and a prelude to blessings. When children are afraid of dogs and their heart beats, the dog hears the beating sound and barks more excitedly. At that time, if you act casually, the dogs will not bark, and if you hold a stick or stone in your hand, even the most ferocious dog will run away in fear.
So is Satan. When faced with a crisis, they are afraid and trembling, anxious because they are anxious, and when they stir themselves up, they get more excited and run faster. However, if you have it with a bold heart, you will no longer be able to run. Furthermore, if he holds a club in his hand, he will run away because he is afraid. What is the rod that defeats Satan? It is the word of God's promises and blessings. If we rely on God's word and reject fear, Satan will retreat and problems will be resolved.
"Words define life"
When the Israelites were stuck, they turned away from the grace of the Exodus, and instead complained, “Why are you leading us to die in the wilderness, because there are no burial places in Egypt?” (verse 11). How upset must Moses have been when he heard the complaint? God must have been very upset. Seeing such ingratitude, he would have wanted to just let the Egyptian army die. When you look at it, you realize how important it is to take care of your horse.
In times of crisis, get into special care for your lips. Then, be prepared to speak more hopeful and grateful words. Life and death are in the power of the tongue. Words open and close the door of blessing. Words define the future of life. Therefore, use your lips wisely according to God's will. Salvation, blessings, and happiness all rest on their lips. Many words of blessing and thanks with the lips are the source of miracles.
Matthew 12:32 says this. “And whoever speaks against the Son of Man will be forgiven, but whoever speaks against the Holy Spirit will not be forgiven in this world or in the world to come.” According to this verse, the sins that cannot be forgiven forever are not 'sins such as theft, murder, adultery, etc.', but 'sin related to words'. That's why words are so important. Therefore, distinguish between what to say and what not to say, and when to say it and when not to say it. Therein lies the key to blessing and victory.
Joshua speaks to the people around Jericho. “Do not cry out, do not let your voice be heard, and do not say anything out of your mouth! Then, on the day when I command you to cry, cry out” (Joshua 6:10). So they went around Jericho and kept their mouths shut. That time of silence is a time to think, evaluate, plan, and pray. And finally, when Joshua called out to shout, the wall collapsed.
When your lips are closed and opened well at the right time, they become a tool of tremendous power. Words make things good and bad. People who say the right words at the right time are number one in success. Such a person is significantly more likely to be successful in business, relationships, marriage, and family life. Seek the wisdom to speak at the right time. A wise and appropriate word breaks down barriers, opens doors to the impossible, and brings enemies to their knees. A good word is life's greatest polish, making your face and heart shine.
