The whole world is changing beautifully with colorful flowers and light green. You may think that if you spend your time indifferently in a busy life, it is only natural over the years, but when you think about it, God's providence of creation is just amazing how beautiful the changes are.
We Christians are the people who should appreciate and praise this providence of creation. Because we know and believe that the beautiful spring colors and brilliant flowers did not just come into being, but came from the fingertips of God's creation. And because we realize that we all have a mission to protect and preserve that beautiful world.
Although we feel and admire the beauty and admiration of the bright green leaves and colorful flowers of the new spring, the first world God created was a more beautiful world. God created the world in six days according to the number of Bible days. When God looked at the creatures He had created, He was delighted, saying, 'It's good!' God spoke every day while creating the world in six days. 'It was good' means that everything was in harmony. Large and small, round and square, red and yellow, white and black, it refers to a world in order where everything harmonizes and does its part. In the beginning, God's creation world was such a beautiful and good world.
However, God's world, which was so good, soon began to change into a distorted image. The core of this world that God said 'it was good to see' lies in the creation of mankind. When God created man, he did not just say that it was good, but that 'it was very good in his sight'. If God created man and was so happy, he would have said, 'It was very good'.
Human beings are beautiful beings created incomparable to any other creature in the world, with the beauty of their body, the beauty of their wisdom, and the beauty of their spirit. This was done in order to give him a mission to rule this world that God had made. However, man used his power and wisdom to go against God's will and pursue his own interests. He fell into Satan's enticement, which appeared as a serpent, and he ate the forbidden fruit of good and evil.
Human beings are free beings, so great, but fallible beings are the ones Satan can tempt. So Satan tempted Eve. What Satan is saying to Eve is strange indeed.
“Did God really say to you, You must not eat from any tree in the garden?”
Not really, did God say to you, eat from every tree of the garden? It's twisted after you've clouded your mind with some very odd negative questions. In this way, the trap of faith begins with denial and doubt. That is the heart that Satan gives, and that is Satan's method.
Eve, who was shaken in her heart, clearly answered God, 'If she eats the fruit, she will surely die.' In response, Satan tried a decisive temptation and said, 'You will never die. Rather, they will become like God.' As a result, Eve ate the fruit of the forbidden fruit, and by giving it to Adam, they sinned together.
By disobeying God in this way, when God first created Him, the person who was created to live with God was expelled from the Garden of Eden, and eventually became a being who had no choice but to live by sweating and fighting for survival in a harsh world. is.
Humans usually live in four relationships.
① Relationship of faith with God
② Relationship of harmony with nature
③ love relationship with people
④ relationship of gratitude with oneself
However, as already mentioned above, as the relationship of faith with God was broken through sin, everything was broken. Faith in God has been lost, distrust has arisen among men, and nature has become harshly opposed to man.
We all feel the wild opposition of nature. On the outside, it is still beautiful, it is still peaceful, and it is still affluent, but in reality, the world of God's creation is scratched and damaged, and abnormal symptoms are appearing everywhere.
It is said that four phenomena are appearing as God's law of creation is destroyed.
① Greenhouse effect: 0.03% of carbon dioxide and 21% of oxygen in the atmosphere have existed for 400 million years, but since the last 100 years, the ratio is changing to 0.04% carbon dioxide and lack of oxygen. If the proportion of this carbon dioxide becomes 0.06% and doubles the rate that God first created, the earth will turn into a greenhouse and all the glaciers will melt and humanity will face a major crisis.
② Destruction of the ozone layer: Although the radiation shield is made up of 7 layers, it is said that it is being destroyed by fossil fuels, etc.
③ Destruction of the food chain: Scientists say that out of 3 million known species, 100 are dying every day.
④ Water Pollution: Due to water pollution, drinking water is gradually decreasing.
How is your relationship with people? Isn't everyone the object of struggle for everyone? Aside from relationships with other people, relationships with oneself are becoming fragmented. 'I don't know my heart' I also became a divided human being unable to move according to my own will.
A divided human being--a human being who doesn't even like himself. However, as I said last week, when you see your soul with your soul, you must be able to see your own soul with faith. A person who does not see himself as a soul as a child of God can never see the soul of another person as a noble soul, created in the image of God. Even though my body is insignificant, even ugly, sick, my soul-- my soul that Jesus saved on the cross, my soul that became a temple of the Holy Spirit, my soul that became a child of God, that When I love and honor my soul, gratitude, joy, and grace come from it. And you will be able to see the souls of others as preciously. This is the true Christian heart. It is true faith to restore and reconcile with the grace of the Lord from the split between me and myself.
When God created human beings, it is said that He created them in His image. Being created in God's image does not mean that we are like God in face and outward appearance. God does not have any external image like we do. Being created in the image of God means that their spirituality resembles God. Therefore, only when that spirituality is revived can we have a truly human form.
Man is made up of body, soul and spirit (1 Thessalonians 5:23). The body's life comes from food. The soul's life is gained through knowledge. The life of the spirit is to be filled with the Word. Therefore, the Lord said, 'Man shall not live on bread alone, but on every word that proceeds out of the mouth of God' (Matthew 4:4).
Don't forget that humans are spiritual beings. When the soul is full, satisfaction and happiness can be obtained in any case, but when the soul is empty, no matter how full the body is, there is always no satisfaction.
Why did Zacchaeus come to Jesus? There was also money. There was also power. There was nothing lacking. But because his soul was empty, he went up to the top of the mulberry tree to see the face of Jesus. When he met Jesus and his soul was filled, didn't he release all the wealth he had been holding onto so much? Human beings, as spiritual beings, are only truly happy and satisfied when their souls are full.
In this dazzlingly beautiful season, on this spring day, I hope that you will become believers who make new decisions once again while looking at the world created by God. I will restore the image that God created and live. Pray for the fullness of your soul in the image that God saw as it was good, live together in love, stand strong in any circumstances and conditions, stand strong in faith, nurture and praise the world that God has created, and live.
