① A person who is enterprising and passionate enough to complete the reconstruction of the temple by encouraging the people who have fallen into spiritual indifference and unbelief while stopping the reconstruction of the temple (Ezra 5:1; 6:14, 15)

② A person who possesses confidence and perseverance as he has given hope and courage by proclaiming the hope of a glorious future to the people in difficult difficulties (Zechariah 8:1-23).

③ A person who has a strong sense of duty and is obedient, as he exerted effort to convey the visions and commands he received from God to the people in a concrete and confident form.

④ A person who has deep and excellent spirituality in that he saw various visions and fulfilled many prophecies about the coming of the Messiah.

5. Redemption Historical Status

① A prophet who greatly contributed to the reconstruction of the theocratic state through the reconstruction of the temple together with the returnees from the first Babylonian captivity.

② An unprecedented visionary who performed many apocalyptic and eschatological visions and prophecies (Zechariah 1:7-6:8).

③ Prophet Haggai and Prophet who encouraged the returnees to rebuild the temple in preparation for the coming Messiah (Ezra 6:14, 15; Zechariah 9:9-10:12).

6. Evaluation and Lessons Learned

① The faith of a community that had withered away due to complaints that the construction of the temple was difficult because God was not with him, indifference to the rebuilding of the temple and indolence, was restored by Zechariah, the zealous preacher of the word. It was fulfilled (Zech 8:9-13). In this way, each of our members must become passionate believers who can infuse faith vitality in their community.

② Zechariah presented to the returned captives, who had fallen into indolence and disappointment, that the completion of the rebuilding of the temple was preparation for the coming of the glorious Messianic kingdom. This is also a message given to modern believers who not only neglect God's work, but also lose hope for the coming of the kingdom of God due to their impatient mind about this world. You should have an opportunity to try it (Matthew 6:10; Luke 9:62).

7. Key scriptures

“The building of the house prospered because the elders of the Jews exhorted Haggai the prophet and Zechariah the grandson of Iddo” (Ezra 6:14).
