There are several physiological processes that are essential for sustaining life in human life. First, you have to breathe in order to live. Then you have to eat to live. It's not just about eating. must be excreted. Those who have not experienced the pain of a person who cannot go to the bathroom for days and days do not know. Another physiological process that we must repeat smoothly is that we need to sleep to live. The pain of not sleeping for three days is more painful than the pain of not eating for three days. So, isn't it said that the most terrible torture among tortures is the one that keeps you from sleeping?
If Esau did not put the mice to sleep indefinitely, they lived 3 days longer than when there was no food or water, and the mice died within 3 weeks of the experiment. It was an experiment that showed that sleep is just as important to life as food and water. So, if we ask what the old folks say when they look at newborn babies, they say, “Eat this guy well, eat well, and sleep well.” But in fact, this is the most accurate statement.
Among them, there is nothing more tiring than a person's inability to sleep. The experts tell us that there is nothing more foolish than reducing sleep and thinking what you can do. It is about keeping God's established laws. It is said that if it is God's law and order that you should sleep 1/3 of your life, it is most desirable to obey it. Normal sleep is a blessing from God. The main causes of traffic accidents in Korea are speeding driving, overworking driving, drunk driving and drowsy driving. As any driver who has ever driven on the highway will have experienced, the "blink" of dozing off means only 2-3 seconds. But the result doesn't end in 2-3 seconds. So how free is it to get a normal sleep when you need to sleep and be active when you need to wake up and be active?

Now, everyone, in today's Bible, there is a story of a man who fell from the third floor while he was asleep and died and came back to life. While the Apostle Paul was on his third missionary journey, he was preaching in the house of a saint in the Troas region. A young man who was sitting on the window of the third floor attic while listening to the sermon fell out of the window and died. There was a commotion for a while, and Paul went down, embraced the young man and prayed, and the young man was miraculously revived. The problem is, why did it fall outside the window during the sermon, and it even died, so it must have been a pretty serious situation, though I don't know. Since Paul saved him, damn it, what would have happened?
Say something like this happened in a church these days. It's usually not a big deal. At church school, children sometimes fight by chance. As children, this is a common occurrence. But that's not the case. Somehow, there is a riot if your child has been beaten at least once in the church. A call comes to the church office immediately. “How can you do this to the children in the church!” They don't even try to find out. It's unconditional that his child has never been beaten before, but why do you have to go to church after being beaten... There's such a commotion, but a young man died during worship, so this isn't usually a problem. What would have happened if Eutychus' parents had known? Fortunately, he survived thanks to a well-named name. The meaning of the name is "happy". So luckily I survived.
Now let's think about this text. Why did Eutychus fall from the window? And we think about it in connection with our faith.
The first thing to think about is the seat where Eutychus sat. Where and how did you sit? He said he was sitting by the window. I don't know why I went up to the third floor and sat on the window because that wasn't enough. Of course, there must have been a lot of people there. Even so, it is best to avoid the risk. To prevent fire, you need to be careful, and to avoid traffic accidents, you need to be careful with your car and drive carefully. . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . . ;
If you sit on the window sill and cover your eyes and ears, you may accidentally fall off at some point. Our clear spiritual seat should be in the church and our ears should be open only to God. If the spiritual state is listening to the sounds outside the window, outside the church, outside the faith, and the seat of faith is established, it must be found quickly. Faith sitting on a window sill is an act that creates a crisis.
Think of this spiritually. In short, for Eutychus the lamp of grace, the lamp of his heart, and the lamp of his soul were extinguished. Eutychus was not without faith. The fact that he came out to the meeting this evening after working hard and exhausted all day in that hot place is the part that confirms Eutychus' faith. This is something we should buy highly. However, he overlooked the warning action of several times of crisis and missed the moment.
Did some preliminary actions or warnings not come to our place of faith today? Are our faiths so numb to the drowsiness that we are in danger of missing the moment?
