A life with commas is beautiful.

Life with commas is beautiful / Psalm 84:1-12
To be successful in life, you need to manage your time well.
It is important how to utilize the 24 hours a day given equally to everyone. Good time management means two things.
First, precision, or accuracy.
In the West, Germans and Swiss, and in the East, Japanese have accurate time concepts. This is why the precision machinery industry and the watch industry have developed in these countries.
In particular, the concept of time in Japan is almost obsessive.
I feel ashamed to be late for my appointment.
So, if you set an appointment time, you will arrive 10 minutes earlier than the scheduled time, wander around, and appear on time.
The Japanese Prime Minister's daily schedule is announced to the press in minutes.
That's why 'watches that are not even one second wrong' are popular.
It is a watch that catches radio waves inside the watch, listens to the station time signal every hour, and corrects the wrong time by itself.
Recognizing the importance of time and making an effort to be on time accurately is important.
However, the notion of time that tries not to be wrong for even one minute and one second is not always good.
These habits do not always enrich our lives.
On April 25, 2005, a large train derailment occurred in Hyogo Prefecture, Japan.
More than a hundred people died.
But the cause of the accident is amazing.
The train that caused the catastrophe was delayed by about 1 minute and 30 seconds at all stations.
It is said that he derailed while speeding to make up for the delay.
In other countries, this delay is recognized as on-time operation.
But in Japan, where accuracy is important, this is never the case.
In particular, the most important operating guideline for the train company where the accident occurred was ‘observance of operating hours’.
We had to limit the time it takes for a train to arrive at a station and leave the station to 15 seconds, and if it exceeds that, we had to report it in 1 second increments.
Engineers who violated this had to undergo strict in-house training and submit a memorandum stating that if they violate this again, they will resign.
So the drivers got into a time neurosis, arguing with the seconds.
Flexibility was lost by obsessing over precision, and this eventually led to catastrophe.
Second, efficiency.
Good time management means efficiency.
It's about prioritizing, cutting out unnecessary things, and achieving maximum productivity in the least amount of time.
Stephen Covey's book, First Things First, emphasizes the efficiency of time.
He says the most important thing in time management is setting goals in life. The goal is to align time according to that goal.
And it teaches you to know the difference between what's important and what's urgent, and to invest your time in what matters first.
However, it is difficult to say that a society, organization, or individual that values only accuracy, efficiency, and speed is always right.
People from countries like South America, Africa and India are naturally laid-back.
In a good way, yes, in other words, lazy.
Government offices and shops also open at 10 o'clock, eat lunch and take a nap for 2 hours, and close at 4 pm.
Korean businessmen who go to work in such a country are really frustrating.
Therefore, even though they have an abundant natural environment, they do not live well economically.
But just because they don't live as we think doesn't mean they're unhappy. Rather, people from poor countries such as Bangladesh have the highest happiness index.
Countries like Japan and Switzerland have world-class rates of depression, insomnia and suicide.
Then you need to think about who can manage your time more efficiently and have a richer life.
On the other hand, the gene (DNA) for ‘quickly’ is hidden in Koreans’ heads.
For us, the key keyword in time management is ‘speed’.
A person who is good at a job and is capable is someone who gets things done quickly.
I believe that anything needs to be done quickly to be successful.
As a result, high-speed Internet was spread, and the IT industry grew rapidly.
These days, there is a theory that in order to capture the global market, Korean consumers must be satisfied.
That's why global multinational companies are benchmarking Korean marketing.
But fast fast culture, it creates a lot of side effects.
In fulfilling the miracle of the Han River, our morals and morals have been corrupted.
Selfishness and individualism prevailed amid limitless competition.
The compulsion to do anything quickly makes us nervous.
Now it's not about speed, it's about direction.
We need a meaning-oriented life, not a success-oriented life.
How can we live a meaningful life as masters of time, not slaves of time?
First, to acknowledge that the Creator of time is God.
Everyone, do you believe that the Creator of time is God the Creator?
In the beginning, when God made the heavens and the earth, time was created.
When God created light, there was a time called day and night.
In order to live by controlling time, we must meet the God who created us and created time.
When I am in a relationship with God the Creator, I can discover the meaning and purpose of my existence.
Only when we discover the calling God has given us can we become the subject of time.
When I was a kid, I was good at making kites and flying them. I was really confident in making kites...
A life without meeting God is like a kite that is not tied to a string.
No matter how high a kite is, if it is not tied to a string, it will flow aimlessly with the wind.
However, a kite tied to a string can move freely in the sky.
Please remember that we are like kites in the hand of God.
When we are in a relationship with God, we are guided by God during the given time, and we can freely fly in the sky by the hand of God.
However, when your relationship with God is cut off, no matter how high you float, you lose control.
There is a poem called ‘Flower’ by the late poet Kim Chun-su.
“It was just a gesture before someone called your name.”
Until God calls my name, my life is just a gesture. It is the repetition of life, eating, working and sleeping.
There is no order in life, and they wander in meaninglessness.
