Sermons for Preaching

A story that doesn't fit the title

Content Today, comparing Philip and Andrew, I will try to examine the meanings of “words that don’t make sense”, “words that don’t make sense”, “words that are not used by the weather”, and “crazy sounds”.

I. Philip is a very rational, scientific, logical, and accurate calculation man.

① In front of Philip like this, Andrew offers unusable words, nonsensical words, five barley loaves and two fish, and asks the Lord what they are doing with the 5,000 people for food. What did Philip say when he saw this? Since we were friends, I wouldn't have said, "Andre, are you crazy?" ② An 80-year-old man holds a dry staff in his hand and Moses is going to Egypt. Someone reported this news to Pharaoh, the great king of Egypt. “Now Moses is coming here to oppose the king and free the people of Israel.” Hearing this, the Pharaoh King would have said, rationally, scientifically, and with mathematical calculations: “Come Moses! Crazy bastard, crazy bastard.” ③ David, a teenager, appeared in front of Goliath, dragging the shepherd's shorts, a medium of water, a bag of stones, and a dry stick. What did Goliath say when he saw this? Had Goliath chuckled and said, “Crazy bastard, crazy bastard.” With scientific evidence, physical calculations, and mechanical critiques, Goliath would have said more than enough. “Crazy bastard”

II. Dear brothers and sisters, the logic of the argument is that all those who were condemned as “crazy” with reasonable scientific evidence did great deeds, won and displayed the glory of God.

① Not so rational Philip, but Andrew, who seemed like a “crazy child”, was used for a big job. Moses, who was ridiculed for being a “crazy child,” eventually subdued the Pharaoh king and the great empire Egypt, which he condemned with rational, scientific and physical evidence. The same is true of David. David, who seemed like a “crazy cub,” fell on a slingshot and the Goliath fell. ② Before rational condemnation In the face of scientific criticism and condemnation, we must become “crazy” people like Andrew, Moses, David. ③ Paul is a scholar. a logical person Athens' sermons from Acts 17:22-27 were very logical, academic, and most persuasive. But the result was nothing. Paul, who went down that road to Corinth, was disappointed, troubled, and discouraged (1 Corinthians 2:1-5), but eventually gave up on everything logical, rational, and intellectual, and people were foolish. Declaring that he would focus only on the foolish cross, evangelism in Corinth made great strides. And he said. 2 Corinthians 5:13-14, “I am crazy” The early church was drunk with new wine, Acts 2:12-13. Andrew, Moses, David, and Paul were used for great things when they worked by force other than their own mind, logic, or calculation.

. let's go crazy too Like 2 Corinthians 5:13-14

① Let's reach out to the assurance of having God with us like Moses and David. Let us be immersed in the glory, power, and love of God, to be governed not by my thoughts, my logic, my reason, my judgment, but the power that comes from that conviction. As if drunk with new wine, like a madman ② Let's go crazy with the confidence of the Word, let's get drunk on the new wine of confidence in the Word. ③ The grace of the cross, the grace of apology, the thrill of being saved Let's go crazy with the certainty of eternal life ④ Reading the Word. Let's reach out to the moving, inspiration, and fullness of the Holy Spirit that comes upon us during fellowship and church service while singing. let's get drunk

(Concluding remarks) Let's just do it for today. Our faith and life of faith are intoxicated with new wine. It's crazy. Not like Philip, but like Andrew, like Moses, and like David.
