after receiving the Holy Spirit
Acts 2:5-13
There are still people today who deny the presence of the Holy Spirit. Some people said, “The Age of the Holy Spirit has already ended 2000 years ago.” Some say that, while others say that the Holy Spirit is received when you have already accepted Jesus, even if you do not tremble.
Of course, if we believe in Jesus, the Holy Spirit is with us. But what matters is whether we “recognize, receive, and welcome” the Holy Spirit in our lives. It is not important to know that the Holy Spirit exists, but how deep relationship and fellowship you have with the Holy Spirit is important.
The devil always comes to us to the point of annoyance even if we don't call him, tempting us, disturbing us, and making us sin. We must defeat such a devil and overcome it in the name of Jesus, but the Holy Spirit must acknowledge, accept, and welcome us to the extent that the Holy Spirit bothers us. And you should always stay close to Him and not fall away. Then the Holy Spirit is with us and helps us.
You will receive the filling of the Holy Spirit and receive tongues, which is a great help in your faith and life. In particular, along with the filling of the Holy Spirit, we will examine what happens when we receive tongues and how it helps our faith.
First - to surprise the world.
In today's text, the disciples spoke in tongues in different languages.
At the same time, they lived in different countries, and when the Day of Pentecost arrived, people began to gather to observe the feast.
There are three major festivals in Israel.
There are three feasts: the Passover, the Pentecost, and the Feast of Tabernacles. The Passover is the feast that celebrates the day when Israel was liberated from Egypt after 430 years of slavery in Egypt. Also, the Day of Pentecost is the day when the Israelites presented the firstfruits of their wheat harvest to God on the 50th day after they entered the land of Canaan.
Every time these festivals occur, not only Jews in the country but also Jews from all over the world begin to gather to observe this festival.
But when they gathered to keep the feast of Pentecost, the disciples and 120 saints who came out of Mark's upper room were speaking in the tongues of each country. It is impossible not to be surprised. These are people who have never been to another country and have never learned the language of another country. But what they were speaking was clearly the language of the country in which they lived.
So you can't help but be surprised. “What the hell is this?” Everyone was surprised. Disciple I spoke to you briefly last week, but I told you that there are two dialects in tongues.... There are two types of dialect: a foreign language and a spiritual dialect, but the one the disciples spoke is a foreign language. Where they did not learn, the Holy Spirit was speaking through their lips. Why? Could it be that the Holy Spirit caused them to speak in foreign tongues? I have a question about it. Then I meditated once more, and I was able to find the reason.
God makes no mistakes and anything is planned.
Although the incident of Mark's Darakbang on the Day of Pentecost has many meanings, it can be seen as the first starting point for the establishment of the church and the proclamation of the gospel of Jesus Christ throughout the world. At this time, we can see that God is making His disciples full of wisdom, that is, speaking in a foreign language, in front of those who come to keep the feast of Pentecost, so that they can testify of the gospel. The content that the disciples testify of the gospel is the message of Jesus Christ as in verse 14 and below. It was a golden opportunity to testify to the pious Jews from all over the world that Jesus Christ is the Son of God and the Savior. is that It is to testify of the gospel to all people.
The people present must have listened to the gospel of Christ with wonder by Peter and other disciples, and the gospel message they heard must have been put in their hearts and returned to their country after the Feast of Pentecost and preached it.
For example, before Paul was converted, he went down to Damascus to persecute those who believed in Jesus, and even though Paul or other evangelists who were converted did not preach the gospel in other countries or regions, the church was already established in Troana and Rome. I see the possibility that people who were saved after hearing the sermons of Peter and other disciples who preached in tongues at Pentecost through the coming of the Holy Spirit established the church.
As such, please believe that God's work is not accidental or simple, and is done under God's detailed plan and will. My life and yours are also under God's providence. I do not understand, but God's will and providence exist. I bless you for absolute obedience to it.
Second - There are people who do not believe in the end even if there are visible phenomena.
There were those who heard Peter's sermon and believed in Jesus as the Son of God, while others mocked their tongues and said they were drunk.
Even though they had seen it firsthand, they were unwilling to admit it.
Perhaps they were talking like this. “Ah~ I must have said that where they came from drinking, they became weird as a group.”
Those who have had a spiritual experience and those who haven't are not able to communicate.
When I go to a relative's house during holidays or occasionally, there are people who believe in Jesus and people who don't. It's been a long time since we've been together, so talking with them often doesn't make sense. If you do that, you will naturally have conversations with people you believe in, and conversations will be cut off with family members who do not believe in you. why? Because spiritual pathways are different. Believers get along with each other because they know the spiritual experience and taste. And I try not to pay attention... This is the difference between a spiritual person and a physical person.
Nowadays, there are many denominations that understand and acknowledge the work of the Holy Spirit and the work of the Holy Spirit and tongues. So, for a while, Yoido Full Gospel Church suffered hardship and suffered a lot of persecution. But now, none of the denominations claim the presence of the Holy Spirit or tongues as heretical. Because they experienced the filling of the Holy Spirit and received tongues.
When I didn't experience it, I didn't understand it and argued with a strange logic, saying how such a phenomenon could occur, but now after they experience it, they have published more theological books about the Holy Spirit than the Pentecostal denomination and how to receive tongues, etc. Also, the church that moves the Holy Spirit is experiencing revival.
It doesn't matter what you see. Of course, it must rain, but more importantly, you must experience it. You must have spiritual experiences in order to understand, to increase your faith, and to be reassured.
The true taste of faith that you have to taste it to know it, like some people do. When you taste the spiritual experience, your faith grows stronger.
We pray that all members of the Church of Jesus Life will experience the powerful experience of the Holy Spirit.
When I looked at the similarities between drunkenness and the filling of the Holy Spirit, there were too many things that were the same. So I wrote a few.
- The symptoms of drunkenness and the Holy Spirit are the same!!
1, the number of words increases
Even if they drink alcohol every day, even if they are filled with the Holy Spirit, they testify of the gospel by saying, “Believe in Jesus.”
2, sing
When we drink, we sing popular songs, and when we are filled with Jesus, we sing songs of praise to God.
3, recommend
He exhorts drunkards to drink, and even to those who are drunk with the Holy Spirit
4, cry
When I drink, I cry, saying that life is meaningless
5, be brave
When you drink, you ask to fight with anyone, and if you believe in Jesus, you become courageous and courageous toward the gospel.
6, be dominated
If you are drunk, you will be controlled by alcohol; if you believe in Jesus, you will be controlled by the Word.
7, is addicted
Can't live without alcohol A person who likes alcohol can't live without alcohol, and we can't live without Jesus without the Holy Spirit.
8, I need snacks
To drink alcohol, you need snacks, but those who believe need the Word.
9, it smells
Alcohol smells disgusting, but we smell of Christ.
After all, we are either hot with the Holy Spirit or hot with sin.
It has to be one of the two, whether it becomes a battle of evil in the heat of sin or a power plant of love.
To choose is to boldly forsake one. We are dead on the cross to the world (Galatians 6:14).
Already we are people without a choice. We are the sons of God, led by the Holy Spirit (Romans 8:14).
Glory to the Lord!!
♥There is a difference between being drunk and being drunk with the Holy Spirit.
ⓐ The place to get drunk is the bar, but the place to get drunk with the Holy Spirit is the church.
ⓑ Alcohol costs more money the more you get drunk, but if you are drunk with the Holy Spirit, no matter how drunk you are, it is free.
ⓒ When you get drunk, you become a different person.
When you are drunk you become a madman, but when you are drunk with the Holy Spirit, you become a saint.
ⓓ If you get drunk, you will become an alcoholic and eventually die, but if you are drunk with the Holy Spirit, you will receive eternal life.

ⓕ When you get drunk, your assumptions change.
When you get drunk, your family is destroyed and your family is ruined, but when you are drunk with the Holy Spirit, your family will be happy and you will be blessed.
ⓖ When you are drunk, your family becomes hell, but when you are drunk with the Holy Spirit, your family becomes heaven.
Ephesians 5:18 says, “Do not get drunk with wine, for this is debauchery, but be filled with the Holy Spirit.”
Don't get drunk, don't get drunk with the world, don't get drunk on the Holy Spirit.
