Subject: Are you satisfied?
Text: Matthew 6:33
I want to ask the wives who are here.
"Are you satisfied with your husband?" At this question, his face suddenly brightened and he said, "Amen! Hallelujah!" Who wants to dance all of a sudden with a smile on their lips and joy soaring uncontrollably?
And how about asking these questions to your husbands?
"Husbands, are you satisfied with your wives?" To this question, most Western husbands readily answer "Of course, Sure!"
However, the Korean husbands said, "That's right! I have to live with satisfaction. What should I do now? My children are all grown up!" often give answers.
Of course, the dog suddenly got angry and said, "Why are you asking such a question?" And there are some who scream.
And, on rare occasions, when a question like this comes up, he suddenly smiles "Of course. I'm proud of my wife. Even if I'm born again, I'll marry my current wife again." There will be some who will reply with a very courageous answer.
And what if we change the subject of this question and ask it like this?
"Parents, are you satisfied with your children?" or "Children, are you satisfied with your parents?"
In response to this question, most parents say, "Oh, how lovely my baby is! Don't be satisfied. Baby, pretty, my baby! Kiss!" Answers well.
And these answers are better today's parents than their old parents. Perhaps it is because there are fewer children than in the past, and because the standard of living has improved, there is not much difficulty in feeding and raising children.
But there are parents like this. "Oh my, why is that guy rotting inside his father so much with me! No, I can't live! Ugh, what a bastard! What's the child for?"
Ask these people, "Are you satisfied with your child?" if you ask
"What? Are you fanning yourself on a fire? Don't you know if you raise a child too?" And it's easy to hear bad sounds.
And the children respond to this question, "My parents, thank you so much! You worked so hard to raise me. Mom and Dad, thank you!" The children who say, "They're mature children, and they say, "My mom and dad are always scolding me and getting angry, and they don't even buy me what I ask for..."
Well, children who answer like this are simply not satisfied with their parents.
And what if we change this question once more and ask it like this?
However, the case of me planting a church here in Calgary is a little different.
Our church is like my child born after the labor of childbirth. And just as parents take care of feeding, dressing, and caring for their children, it is natural for my heart to make sacrifices to build the church better.
In fact, our church is not the object of my satisfaction, it is my life.
And here in Calgary, the members who worked hard and struggled like me to build the body of the Lord Church will be able to reminisce about this question and feel satisfied with even a small thing.
And even if there is nothing fancy about the pastor, "Our pastor, our pastor!" And I will live happily like that.
Moreover, if you clearly realize that it is a place where God gives great blessings to me and my family through our Full Gospel Central Church, you will be somewhat satisfied even if you are here for the first time today.
However, there are many aspects of our church that are lacking and unsatisfactory. However, it does not seem like a desirable aspect of a believer to list and talk about these shortcomings and unsatisfactory aspects.
Rather, because there are aspects that are lacking, and aspects that are not satisfactory, did not God send us and me and my family here? And through me and my family, I want to satisfy the shortcomings, work together to satisfy the dissatisfied parts, and furthermore, fulfill the mission of preaching the gospel and world mission that God is most pleased with, and finally achieving God's satisfaction Isn't it?
Everyone, people and animals, everyone lives in pursuit of their own satisfaction.
Animals fight for their own gratification. And people make every effort to pursue their own satisfaction and be happy in their own way. Young children whine, swarm, and cry for their own satisfaction, virgin bachelors try to find a mate to satisfy them, and many people make a lot of money for satisfaction and happiness.
However, the Bible tells us that the heart that seeks to satisfy one's self-satisfaction abnormally is called greed or greed, and greed is idolatry, and the Bible says that it is not blessed by God. And, ?쏻hen lust has conceived, it gives birth to sin; and sin, when it is full-grown, brings forth death??(James 1:15).
In other words, the satisfaction of us Christians must be done in the normal way, the way God wants us to.
Folks, God is the one who satisfies us.
The Bible says: ?쏦e satisfies your desires with good things, so that your youth is renewed like the eagle?셲??(Psalm 103:5).
?쏦e satisfies the longing soul and fills the hungry soul with good things.??(Psalm 107:9) And, realizing that God is good enough to satisfy us, the forefathers of faith confess this.
?쏰ur satisfaction is from God alone??(2 Corinthians 3:5).
?쏬ord, satisfy us in the morning with your kindness, that we may be joyful and rejoicing all our days.??(Psalm 90:14) Gentlemen, God came to us to trouble us, to stress us, to take time and money. He didn't come to take away our wealth, but to enrich us with good things, and to give satisfaction and happiness to those of us who couldn't get satisfaction and happiness.
Look at the people of Israel. They were not satisfied with their slavery in Egypt. Rather, it was so difficult that I prayed to God. "God, please save us. I can't live without it."
Then God sent Moses to save them, and they were given the freedom they had longed for. And even in the wilderness, when they were thirsty, they gave them water, when they wanted meat, they gave them meat, and they fed them with manna for 40 years. For the people of Israel, God was content itself.
But what is this? They were still not satisfied. Complaining that the manna is tasteless, and giving him freedom, "I'd rather be a slave in Egypt! Even Moses, who risked his life and led them, said, ?쏧 will kill you!??and attacked countless times. The people of Israel suffered from 'satisfaction deficiency', which they could never be satisfied with.
Even today, you can often see people suffering from 'satisfaction deficiency'.
If someone had been serving my family for 40 years, "Oh, thank you so much!" But, no matter how good God feeds us, what is it that we cannot thank and be satisfied with?
When you were born, you didn't come out with even a dollar in your hand, but now you have several hundred dollars in your bank account, you have a car that costs several thousand or tens of thousands of dollars, and you have a house, so why are you not satisfied? Please check yourself to see if you are also suffering from acquired or congenital 'satisfaction deficiency syndrome'.
And if you are not satisfied even while you are worshiping at God's house right now, you must have 'deficiency of satisfaction'. And this lack of gratification is a great misfortune for you, your family, and your fellow members of the kingdom of heaven.
I'm going to tell these people a very simple way to treat 'Satisfaction Deficit'. Jesus, none other than the Holy Spirit, completely enter my heart.
If Jesus comes into my heart, I can sing this song of satisfaction.
"After the Lord Jesus came into my heart, I changed and became a new person, '??~
Finding the true light that I have always longed for, the Lord Jesus came into my heart.
Lord Jesus come into my heart, Lord Jesus come into my heart,
My heart overflows with joy like a wave of water, the Lord Jesus has come to my heart~ ??
In other words, if the Lord comes into my heart, the cottage, the palace, or the place where my Lord Jesus is enshrineed will become the kingdom of heaven, and I can feel great satisfaction in any situation.
Finally, if there is one more great way to find satisfaction, Matthew 6:33 says, "Seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, and all these things will be added to you."
In other words, do not try to find things on your own and satisfy yourself. Do what pleases God first, and if you satisfy God first, God will grant my wishes, provide more of what I need, and God will give me more of what I need. that it satisfies me.
Everyone, think about it.
Wouldn't it be better for God, who has much more ability to satisfy me, than for me to try to satisfy myself, who is far less capable than God?
As Christians, there is a great satisfaction that non-believers do not have. The reason is that the Lord comes into my heart.
For if we seek first his kingdom and his righteousness, there is a Lord who adds all these things and satisfies us.
I pray that you will always have the Lord who satisfies us even in this foreign land in your heart, get greater satisfaction with everything the Lord gives, and deliver that satisfaction to many people.
