Life is built as it is said (Genesis 35:16-29)
<Life is built as you say>
Life is a series of hardships. When one problem is solved, another problem arises. The important thing in living such a life is to turn suffering into victory, groaning into praise, and sorrow into joy through faith. When Rachel died giving birth to Benjamin, she called her son Benoni (Genesis 35:18). Benoni means ‘son of sorrow’. Then Jacob immediately changed his name to Benjamin. Benjamin means ‘son of joy’.
Looking at that scene, we can see Jacob's will to not lose joy in the midst of extreme sadness. The scene also makes us realize the importance of words. If you keep calling me Benoni, which means ‘sad child’, it is difficult for that child to become a happy child. When you say “I am unhappy!” like that, an unhappy life wraps around you. But when you say “I am happy!”, a happy life surrounds you. Just as a silkworm builds a cocoon with the thread that comes out of its mouth, so the words that come out of the mouth build the house of life according to their words.
It is said that one of the reasons why there are many divorces among newlyweds is because of their nickname. Among newlyweds these days, the number one name for calling their husbands is ‘brother’, so it is said that it is easy to break up with them knowing that they are older brothers, not married couples. In the same way, words affect thoughts, and they affect life and character. Words express themselves and shape themselves. So, keep your words positive.
What should parents say when their young children have terrifying dreams and are terrified? Please tell me like this. "Hey! I have had such a dream sometimes too, and every time something good happened to me.” One word gives your child the strength to overcome fear and fear. Such words are a greater prophecy than any prophet's prophecy.
A soccer team was going to an important soccer match, and the car of the undertaker was blocking the team's vehicle. One player said. “You can’t be filthy!” Hearing that, the other players also thought they were unlucky, and the morale of the players dropped. After seeing such a bad influence, the coach spoke wisely. “Good sign! When I was a player, when I saw the car of the undertaker, I definitely won!” That one word boosted the morale of the players. The coach's words are a great prophecy.
<The person you trust the most>
Change your words and thoughts positively. The problem isn't bad. Don't be too discouraged by the problem. Even when Rachel, whom he loved the most, died, Jacob decided to live with joy singing. Be a singer of joy no matter what hardships come like that. In fact, through suffering, the soul becomes more mature and stronger. He said that even when he was young, he had to suffer. Suffering makes a person strong.
If you look at the globe, the strongest people are usually northerners. The long-lived and well-to-do people are usually northerners. People living in the equatorial region are poor in politics, economy, society and culture, and the average life expectancy is only 40 years. Most of the gold medal winners at the Winter Olympics are from northern countries. Then at the Summer Olympics, people from the southern countries should sweep the gold medal, but at the Summer Olympics, people from the northern countries mostly sweep the gold medal. Such a warm and nice environment is not necessarily a good thing.
Looking at the years that have passed, there has never been a year without problems. Year after year, politics was chaotic, society was unstable, and the economy was difficult. How grateful are you that you have overcome such problems and are living well now? It is not about being grateful for having no problems, but being grateful for not losing faith in a situation where there are problems. With that gratefully renewed commitment to loyalty and devotion, the weight of life will be significantly reduced and the joy of life will be restored.
Who do you trust the most? A person who engages in strange and unusual religious practices is not a good believer. A person who lives in a humble manner without losing joy and vitality is a person who believes well. Even in hard times, do not lose the joy of singing the Lord's world and the Lord's providence. The level of faith cannot be measured well by the amount of service, the amount of donations, the prayer time, or the fasting period. But the joy he enjoys can be well measured.
