Before the Day of Weeping (Luke 22:54)
before the day of mourning comes
Luke 22:54-62
I don't know why there are so many conditions for people to live today. It seems to live under conditions and die under conditions. There are many conditions to get married. There are five conditions: A, B, C, D, and E. A stands for age, B stands for beauty, C stands for condition, D stands for degree, and E stands for economy. Of course, none of these conditions should be ignored. It would be even better if he was handsome or pretty at an appropriate age. If he was healthy, he would be happy to live, and if he had a certain level of economic power, it would be the perfect marriage condition. But I don't know of a more important condition than this. In addition to A, B, C, D, and E, F is faith and G is God. Unconditional faith in God must be the first condition.
If we can realize that human beings can be happy only with God above all else in life, we will be really happy. However, it is the unhappiness of unhappiness that many people do not even realize or acknowledge that the source of happiness comes from God.
It really matters what a person realizes. Realizing that too quickly can have a huge impact on that person's life. So sometimes we feel heartbroken because of things we didn't realize beforehand. It is possible for a person to realize something through several processes. These are the so-called senses of sight, hearing, smell, taste, and touch.
First of all, it is a case of enlightenment by seeing. The phrase “one hundred visions are unspeakable” is used in this case. It is more accurate to watch it on TV than it is to hear it on the radio. So seeing is the foundation of enlightenment. So you have to look closely and see right away. Then, one understands by hearing. Also, you have to listen carefully. If you hear something wrong, no matter how much you listen, you will not come to enlightenment. It's great to see people making music. I only hear the sound of the piano and know whether it is “Do” or “Mi”. But how frustrating would it be if you could hear a folk song or not know whether it was a folk song or a song? In the Bible, there is a very important word about hearing. In John 10, it is said, “The sheep know the voice of their shepherd.” Isn't this the realization that comes by hearing? A sheep can live only when it properly listens to the owner's voice, understands it properly, and follows it properly. If you listen incorrectly and follow the wrong path, you will fall into a pit.
You must be governed by the Spirit. The Word makes the fool wise and brings understanding. So, if you believe in Jesus, your knowledge will be superior. Even ignorant people will become educated after they believe in Jesus. Also, when we meditate on the Word deeply and pray, the Holy Spirit allows us to see things we have never seen before, hear the voice of the Lord, and enlighten us about things we cannot understand.
and and is a gift from God. When God opens the door of your heart, you will come to enlightenment and see the truth. It is said that the reason that the Israelites who left Egypt and the people of Isaiah's day could not see, see, or hear and hear were because God had not given them a heart to understand, eyes to see, and ears to hear (Deuteronomy 29:4, Isaiah 6:9.10). The reason we have not attained enlightenment is that God has left us alone because we do not want to obey and refuse to listen to God's voice because of our hardness and dullness of heart. So we should be able to pray for awakening our perception.
There was an emotion that made my heart ache in the silent gaze. Jesus didn't even look at Peter. There was no resentment. You just wanted to understand. So Peter wept. Is Peter worthy of weeping, who denied knowing Jesus by curses and oaths three times so close that his face could be seen? What is the use of resenting such a human being, and what good is there to look forward to it? Aren't you a disciple of betrayal who doesn't even need to look at you? Despite this, he doesn't care about the difficulties you face, and he looks at his beloved disciple once more because he feels sorry for him.
Dear saints!
Today, the Lord who knows our circumstances and situation is looking at us. Even in front of the cross, the Lord is looking at us pathetic, who are living without realization. We, who have fallen into temptation and have already denied Jesus in our hearts and departed from the faith, do not realize it like Peter and live self-centered lives, but we must realize it before the hour of mourning comes. Today, the Lord did not give up on Peter, who betrayed Him on the way to the cross. And he wants enlightenment with his eyes of love even for those of us who are truly pathetic who are still unbelievers and who live under the hood. What will we do with our shameful face in front of this love?
