Text: John 14:1-15

Title: Believe in me even if you see what happens!

Although it is easy to believe in Jesus today, it is never easy to believe in the spiritually coming Lord (the Son of God). In other words, the Jesus that Gentiles (Christians) believe in today is not the name of the Messiah that Gentiles should believe in. The name Jesus is the name of the Messiah who will come to the people of Israel who lived under the law. Therefore, the Messiah that Gentiles should believe in refers to the Lord who will come spiritually before the Gentiles.

Gentiles today are people who believe in the name of Jesus who came to the land of Israel and have received the Holy Spirit to become the spiritual people of Israel. Christians who have received the Holy Spirit are calling God their Father based on Romans 8:15, but strictly speaking, Gentiles are not yet qualified to call God as Father. In order for Christians to be qualified to call God as their own father, it is possible only after they believe in the Lord who will come spiritually.

Examples of this can also be found in the Israelites in the Old Testament. They also said that anyone born of Abraham's lineage thought of themselves as God's holy people, that is, God's children. However, as we know, it is the fact that God never recognized any of the Israelites as His children until they believed in Jesus, who came as the Son of God.

Likewise, even if Christians today call God their Father through the Holy Spirit as they please, God does not grant the authority to become God's children to anyone except those who come out to believe in the spiritual Son He has sent. Even a king in the world grants authority to his son who will succeed him as king. Then, of course, it would be a fact that God also grants authority to his own son. That authority is not the authority to trample on the poor and powerless, but the authority to subdue the evil spirits that trample on the souls of people who are dying in sin and to rescue the souls who are groaning from within.

If the Christians today, who believed in Jesus and received the Holy Spirit and became the spiritual Israelites, were really God's children, this amazing authority would have been given to all of them. However, even after washing my eyes, I can't find anyone living with this kind of authority in any Christian. Why? It is proof that you are not a child of God. He believes that he must have become a child of God because he believed in Jesus, but it is because he has only the outer shell of the people of Israel, and he does not know that an evil spirit is still reigning on the inside. The only way to get rid of this is the fact that the spiritual son with authority must come and solve this problem as soon as possible.

Without knowing this fact, Christians today think that everyone is saved because they believe in Jesus, so everyone is living with arrogance. When a man becomes arrogant, there is no such thing as such a disastrous end. Let's imagine that a person who lived in poverty with an X-hole suddenly won the lottery one day! Not to mention the behavior of that person, you won't listen to anyone because you'll lose sight of them in the first place. The problem starts right here. A person who had listened so well until the day before yesterday changed his attitude overnight for a few pennies. This is human pride.

This is exactly what God had told us not to be proud of, with human advantages in mind. God made both the people of Israel living under the law, both the fleshly Israelites living under the law, and the spiritual Israelites living under the Holy Spirit today, live under the law equally. The Bible repeatedly explains that no one can keep the law. Therefore, people who live under the law automatically break the law, and everyone is bound to be a sinner. The Bible defines God's people who will all become sinners and will have to stand before God's judgment seat, and God sent His Son again and put them under the law to grant salvation to all who come out believing in Him. This is what we call the grace of God.

But even before the Son came, the people living under the law were mistaken that they were all saved. The reason God gave the law to both people (Jews and Christians) in the first place is obviously that he made them both sinners (which God compelled to do this way because humans do not confess themselves to be sinners) through His Son. It is said that he did this to show grace, but it is truly amazing that everyone is mistakenly thinking that they were saved before the son even came. If this happens, it becomes completely irrelevant to the will of God. Does that mean that now, will God change what He has planned? It can't be. All of God's plan will be fulfilled without any error.

Despite the past life of the Jews, what remains now are the Gentiles. It is about how Christians recognize and believe in the Lord who comes without anyone knowing. Because he said he would come like a thief, no one could easily recognize him. Moreover, if there are those who still think that they are saved or that they hold high positions in the church as a measure of their faith, these people should not expect to meet the Lord. Just as a lottery winner suddenly changes his or her attitude one day and refuses to listen to anyone, so those who consider themselves a little smart or who enjoy worldly wealth and power will not listen to anyone.

If we want to recognize the Lord who came like a thief and believe in Him, we must not believe in Him by the outward appearance. Since he comes only in the spirit (the Word), if you listen to what he says and obey him, if his word is clearly a word with authority given by God, then the fruit will appear in him as well. And power is not only shown in obedience, but also in disobedience. However, it can be said that the characteristic of power when disobedience appears as a curse.

Even in today's text, the disciples did not believe in Jesus at all, but when asked to show him the Father, they answered, ?esus seeing me is seeing the Father. I am with the Father. Then, even if you see what will happen, believe me!??Yes! If you do not believe in him, you must have the heart to believe in him even if you see what is happening through him. What will happen through your son? It is not about eating well and living well in the world, but about delivering me from sin and death.
