Blessings received as a bonus

blessing as a bonus

(June 14, 2009) (Wed. 17:14~18)

How absurd would it be if you tripped over a stone and fell, and just as you were about to get up, a big stone flew and hit you in the back? - They say that they fall over and attack you. - It is said that repeated misfortunes will strike you. I hope that the members of Kyungil Church will never come across such misfortunes.

Conversely, there is a saying called “golden reward” - when good things are repeated over good things, it is called golden reward.

I pray that the saints who worship today are overflowing with the blessings of gold and silver.

Even if good things happen, I hope good things happen over and over again.

Even if you receive blessings, I pray that you will be blessed over and over again.

The Israelites are a blessed nation compared to other nations.

The descendants of Joseph appearing in today's text were not satisfied with the ordinary blessings they received as the Israelites, but wanted to receive greater blessings.

Blessings you receive as a bonus even if you receive blessings, blessings that you receive repeatedly even if you receive blessings, you learn from seeing and learning from the Joseph descendants who received the blessings of gold and silver. .

How did you get blessings on top of your blessings?

1. You must be able to appreciate the present.

He who can be grateful for the past, who can be grateful for what he has received, deserves a greater blessing.

-

(17:14) - "The sons of Joseph said to Joshua, "The LORD has blessed me until now, and I have become a great nation. Why then have you given me only one lot and one portion for my inheritance? Hani"

-The descendants of Joseph knew how to be grateful for the grace they had received so far.

“Because you have blessed me until now” “I have become a great nation” - In the present state - Could God not love a person who discovers what blessings he has received and knows how to be thankful?

Dear saints, what grace have you received in your present life? What blessings have you received? Hope you find it - and thank you for it.

* Of course, it would be something to be grateful for if you made a career out of it. *If you are rich, of course, you should be grateful. - Is there anything to be thankful for if you are not successful and not rich? - no.

*Health is also an audit condition. *Child referee is also a condition of appreciation. *Having a job is also an audit condition.

*Being alive is a condition of gratitude. * Being saved and attending church is something to be very grateful for.

*It is a great thing to be thankful that no urgent things happened that could not come to church today.

I hope you find something to be grateful for in your present life - such a person will receive greater love and greater blessings.

2. There must be legitimate greed (motivation).

It is said, “Greed has conceived and gives birth to sin.” - Vain greed is the root of all evil. - We must throw away vain greed.

However, those who do not have even legitimate desires will not progress.

You shouldn't be greedy in vain, but you should be able to have legitimate greed. - A legitimate desire is will.

Greed is the root of evil - lust is the seed of fulfillment and blessing.

(17:14) - "The sons of Joseph said to Joshua, "The LORD has blessed me until now, and I have become a great nation. Why then have you given me only one lot and one portion for my inheritance? Hani"

They were allotted the same land as the other tribes. - But they are not satisfied - they ask for more land. - Why are they so greedy? Was it vain desire? - no.

*Because they are blessed with having many children - because they have a larger population than other tribes - they are asking for more land in proportion to the population as much as they have a large population.

With just greed, righteous greed, and will - he asked for more land than it is now.

*Caleb's greed is his desire - “I am 85 years old, but I am as healthy as a young man, so I will fight and conquer a large land.” - Caleb, like his will - is the will to work and receive blessings as long as he is healthy.

*Joseph's descendants also received the gospel as a bonus because they had the will - “Give me a great land, since they have become a great nation.”

*I do not play and eat with my health - I will use my health to work, so be blessed.

*I will not waste my youth - bless me,

* I will be faithful in faith, so please give me a blessing. - Such greed is will. - If you have such a will, you will be blessed.

3. You must have a pioneering spirit to challenge.

Joshua, who ruled Israel as God's agent, heard that Joseph's children's demands were justified.

They hypothesized, saying, “God has blessed us and we have become a great nation.”

The desire to “give me a great land, because we have become a great nation” was hypothesized - but it was not given away for free. - I asked for one more condition.

(17:15) - "Joshua said to them, "If the hill country of Ephraim is too narrow for you, because you are becoming a great nation, go up to the forests of the land of the Perizzites and the Rephaimites, and work for yourself."

* Now that we have become a large nation - we have the power to conquer - we have to go conquer and pioneer.

It's not all about being motivated. - You must have a will, but - You must also have a challenging spirit and pioneering spirit to achieve that desire.

*Don't wait for the persimmons to fall - you have to pick them to own them

* I pray that you will receive blessings in addition to the blessings you received as believers with a burning spirit of challenge and a passionate believer with a pioneering spirit.

4. The blessing they received.

Among the 12 tribes of Israel, the descendants of Joseph were blessed to occupy the largest land.

Joseph's descendants were not one tribe, but two tribes - the tribe of Manasseh and the tribe of Ephraim.

The tribe of Manasseh acquired land on the east side of the Jordan and also on the west side of the Jordan River.

The tribe of Ephraim also gained more land than the other tribes. - Like them, I want the members of Kyungil Church to be blessed.

1) You have already received basic blessings.

As mentioned earlier, they have already been assigned land to settle, like the other tribes. - Blessings received equally - It is a blessing that God knows. - Please believe that we have already received such a blessing.

2) There is a blessing that I received as a bonus.

In addition to the land that has already been allocated - I have been blessed to occupy a larger area, which is a bonus, a blessing. - How did they get the blessing as a bonus? I saw it.

When you *have faith to be grateful for, *have faith full of ambition, and *have a challenging and pioneering spirit - in addition to the basic blessings you have already received - you will receive additional blessings.

Our Kyungil Church members - not only the basic blessings that ordinary people receive - I pray that you receive many blessings that others cannot receive, overflowing blessings, blessings such as bonuses, and bonuses.

*Thank you always, thank you in everything. * I hope that you will become active members of the church with full of enthusiasm. * I wish you a lot of new blessings with a pioneering spirit that challenges you.
