Build up the title
Contents Bible text: Proverbs 18:12-24 Title: Build up
Proverbs 18:12-24.
12 The pride of a man's heart is the forerunner of destruction, but humility is before honor. 13 Whoever gives an answer before hearing a story is foolish and dishonored.
When the spirit is broken, who can bring it up? 15 The heart of a man of understanding acquires knowledge
The ear of the wise seeks knowledge. 16 A man's gift broadens his way,
And he leads him before the noble. 17 In the case, the first one seems to be right, but
His opponent comes and reveals it. 18 Casting lots puts an end to stripe, and a settlement between the strong. 19 It is better to be reconciled to an angered brother than to take a fortified city.
It is difficult, and such stripe is like the bars of a stronghold. 20 A man is filled with the fruit of his mouth.
For he is satisfied with what proceeds from his lips. 21 Death and life are in the power of the tongue.
22 Whoever finds a wife finds a blessing and finds favor with the LORD. 23 The poor ask earnestly, but the rich answer with harsh words. 24 He who finds many friends will be harmed.
Some friends are closer than brothers
* Of course, all saints must be conscious of their responsibilities and have a humble heart,
I will do my best to build up virtue.
The text teaches you what you need to do for this.
1. We must cast away our proud mind. (12)
Pride is a great obstacle to edification.
The humility shown by our Lord is recorded in Philippians 2:1-8.
1 Therefore, if there is any exhortation or any consolation of love in Christ,
If there is any fellowship of the Holy Spirit, if there is mercy or mercy, 2 be of the same mind, be of the same love, be of one accord, be of one mind, 3 Let nothing be done through stripe or vanity.
But in lowliness of mind, each considers others better than himself, 4 each taking care not only of his own affairs, but also of others.
Let my joy be full 5 Let this mind be in you, which was also in Christ Jesus 6 He is in the form of God, yet he is equal with God.
He did not consider it something to be robbed, 7 but emptied himself, taking the form of a servant, being made in the likeness of men, 8 and being found in human form, he humbled himself and became obedient to the point of death.
that he died on the cross
2. Let go of impatience. (13)
3. Be careful with your words. (21)
