Challenge the title change

▒▒ Bible : Mark 10:46~52

People are afraid of starting over after failing a few times. There is nothing more difficult than starting anew because failures hold us back. This Bible verse we read today is a very refreshing verse in that respect.

Bartimaeus, born blind, was doomed to such a terrible fate that he had no choice but to beg on the street. At that time, it was impossible to open the blind eyes with the medical techniques. So, it was the custom at that time that when you become blind, you have to live your life thinking that it is your destiny.

However, the fresh shock that the Bible gives today is that this blind Bartimaeus will open his eyes. He says he doesn't want to live a life of begging while putting on rags and reaching out to others. I want to open my eyes want to change Usually, people don't try more after a few failures, but the blind Bartimaeus has a strong will and action to open his eyes. I hope that you will pay attention to Bartimaeus challenging this change, and I ask that you, in the name of the Lord, become saints who also challenge change.

A Christian is a changed person. Before Peter became a Christian, he was a fisherman, but after becoming a Christian he became a fisher of men. Undoubtedly, the apostle Peter became a changed man. Before he believed in Jesus, Saul was a Pharisee and a persecutor who caught and killed those who believed in Jesus, but after receiving Jesus, he became an apostle who gave his life for Christ. So, when we say Christians, we refer to people who have changed.

You guys think I'm a Christian and I'm not a Christian if I haven't changed. A Christian is a changed person. So when we say we are Christians, we have to change. “Even if I believe in Jesus, I will never change.” It's fake. If we believe in Jesus, it is natural that we must change. This is the characteristic of those who believe in Jesus.

The important message that Bartimaeus gives us today is in Mark 10:51, when Jesus called Bartimaeus and said, “Bartimaeus, what would you like me to do for you?” Without hesitation, Bartimaeus said, “I hope to open my eyes. want to see I want to end this kind of life where I no longer wear rags and open my hands to passersby and accept a coin or two.” answered.

Bartimaeus could have just lived his fate, but Bartimaeus wasn't like that. “God, I want to see you. We want to change.” You can see that he clearly tells Jesus his wish.

In this way, God gives us very important dreams and visions. However, these dreams and visions are precious things that are accomplished by the power of God, and these dreams and visions are not trivial dreams. Joseph becomes prime minister of Egypt. It's impossible. But with the power of God it can be done. So, the dream and vision God has given is to give us things that are accomplished by God's power. So, it is very important that people live with dreams.

The important thing is that the Lord is trying to change us day by day, so even at this time, the Holy Spirit is working in us, and we want you to remember that the Holy Spirit gives us dreams and visions so that we can be transformed.

But what is important to change? We must act. It can be called an adventure or a decision. Perhaps in the heart of Blind Bartimaeus, he had a desire to constantly open his eyes. I had a desire to change. There were times when I was frustrated, but I lived with hope. But when he heard that Jesus of Nazareth was passing through Jericho, he thought, ‘This is your chance!’ Bartimaeus began to shout. “Jesus of Nazareth, have mercy on me.” This is the history of change. If you stand still, nothing will ever change.

We are alive when we want to change. “I like this look.” Then you die. We believe that we must run for change every day.

But where does the conviction that we can change come from? Blind Bartimaeus is no fool. Bartimaeus the blind heard and believed that “that Jesus of Nazareth was the Messiah.” Luke 4 I believed that Jesus was the one who came to open the eyes of the blind, set the oppressed free, and proclaim the year of grace. With this faith, “Jesus of Nazareth, have mercy on me.” and it went on.

What is the main purpose of our moving forward? We are not going out alone, but because we believe in the promise that Almighty God is with us, we do not stay here but go forward. This is faith.

Dear brothers and sisters, please challenge change. If we don't change, we die. God is also changing us by sending the Holy Spirit at this time so that we can become glorious, honorable, and happy beings like Christ.
