Key Verse: “On the day when the four hundred and thirty years were finished, all the armies of the LORD came out of the land of Egypt” (Exodus 12:41).
Word: On a frighteningly quiet night, there is a chilly feeling of silence. In the territory where the Israelites live, everyone is awake. The Egyptians are also awake. Rumors of the coming of the god of death spread widely. All of a sudden, you hear a cry from somewhere and it gets louder and louder. Screams and wails and cries... .
I would have thought, 'Is that really the case?' Rumors must have been spreading, of course, but the Egyptians and even the Israelites must have had the same thoughts. Fear swept across Egypt. Although sheep's blood was put on the door, some of the Israelites were anxious. Most Israeli families have been waiting for a historic moment in anticipation of God's hand at work tonight. Breaking the silence of the night, a cry that resembled a scream from somewhere grew louder and louder, and the whole of Egypt was filled with screams and weeping. As God had foretold, the lives of the shamans were cut off. Calamity and ruin have come, and despair and sorrow have ripped my heart.
But on the other hand, the death of the shaman that night was the signal of liberation. The wailing sound to the Israelites announcing the death of the maidens was a sign of the Exodus. Although they do not rejoice over other people's tragedies, the people of Israel were moved by the fact that God's salvation is now underway. The same incident leads to lamentation and despair on one side and joy and gratitude on the other. That's how people's lives are. Not everyone will be happy and not everyone will be equally sad. There is bound to be light and dark.
Two young people were walking down the street when they got a tract from someone. A friend threw it in the trash. Another friend put it in his pocket and read it and met Jesus. Both of them worked hard and became outstanding people. Twenty years later, one man became a high-ranking public official, and he was put on trial for power-type infidelity, and a friend of faith was conducting the trial as a respected judge.
How they reacted to the same tract 1 they received became a judgment for one person and a blessing for another. We live in a club anyway. What kind of meeting you attend is very important. Life is a choice. Which one you choose is very important. You have to stand on the true side and choose the good side.
Prayer: Help me to choose the bright and true side of my life today. May you experience the help of the Lord. I pray in Jesus name. Amen.
