Sermons for Preaching

Don't be fooled by the title

It is often said that there is no one in the world to trust. It's not just that we don't trust people, we've lost a lot of trust in everything.

The experience has been and is now obscured about other things. Why is this? The Bible is fundamentally pointing out that our lives are being deceived by something.

While listening to the Lord's voice telling us not to be deceived at this time, we want to think about what we should not be deceived by anything. What are the deceptive things of the world that the Bible tells us? What is a lie and what is the truth of that lie? And what are the measures?

1. Knowledge (philosophy, science, religion)

Knowledge is necessary as a means of human life.

It is knowledge that establishes the theory of experience and emotion. Being ignorant is not a good thing. Human beings are educational beings and must be learned and mastered.

Even when we believe in God, we are talking about doing what we believe and what we know together.

Ephesians 4:13 “And we will all become one in the faith and in the knowledge of the Son of God, and come to be a perfect man, even to the stature of the stature of the stature of Christ.”

Today's era is called the information age.

It was said that people's knowledge will increase as the last days pass,

Dan 12:4 “Keep these words, Daniel, until the time of the end, and seal this writing, for many will come and go quickly, and knowledge will increase.”

At the same time, philosophical arguments without God or living in the world were unstable, and people even misunderstood the historical view and the value of happiness, leading to self-confidence.

The foundation of our values has been shaken. At the same time, life becomes so arrogant as if you know a lot or know everything.

1 Corinthians 8:1 "...knowledge puffs up, but love builds up.

1 Corinthians 8:2 If anyone thinks he knows anything, he still does not know what he ought to know.”

So where can we find true knowledge?

Proverbs 1:7 says, “The fear of the Lord is the beginning of knowledge, but fools despise wisdom and instruction.”

After meeting Jesus, the highly insightful Apostle Paul, who was not only a Jewish jurist, but also a respected teacher of his day, he confesses about his knowledge and religious philosophy.

Philippians 3:7 “But whatever things that were useful to me, I counted them as loss for the sake of Christ

8 And all things are counted as loss, because of the noblest knowledge of Christ Jesus my Lord; for his sake I lose all things, and count as dung I gain Christ.”

It is impossible to know that Jesus died for my sins even if I had all the doctors in the world. This knowledge is given by God to those who obey and believe. When Peter confessed Jesus as Lord and Savior,

Matthew 16:17 "Jesus answered and said to them, "Blessed are you, Simon Bar-Jonah, for flesh and blood did not reveal this to you, but my Father who is in heaven."

Matthew 11:27 “All things have been given to me by my Father, and no one knows the Son except the Father, and no one knows the Father except the Son and he who receives a revelation as the Son wishes.”

Rather than knowing a lot, you should know and live your life. Living long is a blessing, but fulfilling the mission to live is precious. I want you to win with the knowledge and opinions that God gives you.

2. Culture (materials, customs, diversification)

The customs of a community are different in each era and region, but the Bible teaches that the customs of the world are sinful.

Ephesians 2:2 “In those days you walked in them, following the customs of this world, following the prince of the power of the air, the spirit that now works in the sons of disobedience.”

Just as in the Old Testament times, the Tower of Babel boasted human cultural pride and collapsed under the punishment of God, even in today's age, the absolute truth disappears amidst the wave of material, knowledge, and pluralism, and the movement to live in a humanistic culture with human thoughts is spreading. There is.

More and more people commit suicide in frustration due to materialism, appearanceism, and those who become frustrated and lose their reason for living. The tendency to despise life is one of the cultural customs of this era.

Among the Organization for European Economic Co-operation (OEEC), Korea was announced as having the highest suicide rate. In Korea, an average of 40 people take their own lives every day.

In Korea, the number of people who committed suicide in 2005 was 14,011, which is a daily average of 38.39. The number of suicides in 2004 increased by 718 compared to 13,293.

Rather, in my poor days, morals were alive and suicide was not so common. Statistics show that among those who commit suicide, there are far more people who die because they are rich but lose the meaning of life than those who die because they are pessimistic about poverty.

Changes in the world's culture and worldly values without God can never confirm how to live a stable and right life.

Only when we try to live, feel, understand, and live according to the laws that Jehovah God has given us can we have perfect happiness and lead a life full of life.

Ecclesiastes 12:1 “Remember your Creator in the days of your youth, before the days of trouble come, before the year draws near when you will say that I have no pleasure in you.”

Psalm 37:5 “Commit your way to the LORD; trust in him, and he will do it.”

3. Inspiration (emotion, mystery, miracle)

The difference between humans and beasts is that they have a spiritual world. Originally, when God created man, he breathed in his breath and created man, so he is a spiritual being. From the time Adam sinned in the beginning, man became increasingly hardened from spiritual and noble thoughts and changed to animalistic thoughts.

Jeremiah 17:9 "The heart is deceitful above all things, and desperately wicked..."

Proverbs 18:14 “The spirit of a man is able to overcome his sickness, but if the spirit is broken, who can lift it up?”

Ephesians 2:1 “You were dead in your trespasses and sins…”

Our spiritual eyes are darkened, and we live unaware of the existence of the devil, who works in us, always encamps in our lives, and destroys life and blessed lives.

The Bible points out the amazing fact that Christianity is not just a religious culture, but actually deeply involved in the existential state of man, and that man must not only live in knowledge or culture, but must overcome in the realm of Satan.

1 John 5:19 “And we know that we belong to God, and the whole world lies in the evil one.” This is the devil who tempts and rules this world with evil and death.

This Satan was the archangel who was created by God, but he was abandoned by his pride and became the god of secularism that rules the world with sin and death. His temper is against the truth and entices people to lie.

Genesis 3:5 “For God knows that in the day ye eat of it, your eyes will be opened, and you will be like God, knowing good and evil.”

John 8:44 “You are of your father the devil, and you want to do the desires of your father. He was a murderer from the beginning, and cannot stand in the truth, because there is no truth in him. for he is a wretch and has become the father of lies.”

Therefore, the biblical text

13 “Evil men and deceivers become worse and worse, deceiving and being deceived.

14 But abide in the things you have learned and have been convinced of…”

The word planavw to deceive also means to wander. The world wanders from the beginning and ends life. You fall down without even knowing what the real life is.

Therefore, the saints must not wander. Those who have met God must stop wandering and obtain answers to maintain peace.

John 14:27 “Peace I leave with you, my peace I give to you; not as the world gives do I give to you. Do not let your hearts be troubled, and do not be afraid.”

The Bible tells us that we do not live in this world alone, but that the devil is terribly working to destroy life.

1 Peter 5:8 “Be sober and watchful, your adversary the devil prowls around like a roaring lion, seeking someone to devour.”

What a terrifying saying of existence.

Thousands and tens of thousands of demons under that devil's captain tempt each person's soul with sweet lies and fall into the world, preventing them from giving thanks, worshiping and serving God. It makes us live as selfish, individualistic, greedy people who only serve their own interests.

No matter what the Bible says, as long as it is good for you, this is the world. Even if the heresy is teaching wrongly, it is enough if the disease is healed. However, the Bible speaks of cases where even such miracles cannot be saved if they break God's law (Matthew 7:21-).

These days, people are practicing the mystical mental movement of the spiritual world while saying that it is a spiritual movement, a social movement, or a cultivating movement. In fact, the true spiritual state can be achieved through worshiping God. And in the life of God's truth and the Word, normal human spiritual life is achieved.

In the midst of knowledge, culture, and various mystical spiritual chaos, I pray that you and I will not be deceived by God's Word, church-centered life culture, and the influence of God's Holy Spirit, and that you and I will always triumph without regret.
