I will read what a doctor wrote.
Why can't we all be thankful, the natural facts
There is a father and there is a mother.
two hands and two legs
You can go anywhere you want to go on your own
You can reach out and grab anything.
sound is heard voice comes out
Where can there be greater happiness than that?
But no one appreciates the obvious
“It’s natural,” he laughs.
eat three meals a day
When the night comes, I sleep comfortably, and when the morning comes
Breathe in the fresh wind.
You can laugh and cry, shout and then run.
All that can be done is natural
No one can appreciate something so wonderful.
who knows how to be grateful
only those who have lost it
Only those who have lost a single finger can appreciate the remaining fingers. Only those who have lost one leg can feel the gratitude of both legs. Only those who have lost their health know the appreciation of health. Only those who have lost their wealth will realize the true value and meaning of it. Above all, those who have lost the things of the world come to know and appreciate God's salvation and eternal life. Therefore, there is no greater God's love and God's grace than 'losing' or 'nothing'. This is because 'lost' and 'non-existence' are the steps that enable 'the meaning of being', 'gratitude for being', and 'new existence' by God.
So the Prophet of Haba said, “There were no fruit on the fig tree, but there were no grapes on the vines, but there were no olives on the olive trees, but there were no plants in the fields, but there were no sheep in the pen, and there were no cattle in the stalls.” He confessed, "I will rejoice in the LORD, I will rejoice in the God of my salvation." Because of that 'absence', I came to know the 'true value of being alive', and through that 'absence', I was able to taste the salvation of God and the fullness of eternal life. He was sure that God's things would be filled in him. Habakkuk sang in the middle of 'None'.
"Lord, the LORD is my strength. Make my feet like deer,
He will make me walk on my high places."
What have you lost in the past year? What is missing? What have you lost? If so, let's rejoice and give thanks to God for the 'lost' and 'nothing' on this Thanksgiving Sunday morning. Let's be grateful for knowing the meaning and value of 'being' because of that 'non-existence'. Because of his absence, let us give thanks for personally meeting the love and life of our Lord Jesus Christ, who was crucified and died on the cross for the punishment of sin that I deserved in order to save a sinner like me. In my absence, let us give thanks for the hope that the Lord will fill us with His things. When our absence is filled with the things of the Lord, who is the way, the truth, the life, and our savior, true peace, happiness, and satisfaction are only possible. As much as there are shortcomings in the world, there will be no lack between the eternal God.
I will pray for you.
Thank you for making me lack in my relationship with the Lord because of what I lack in the world. Thank you for not being, thank you for being, and thank you for being. Above all, I thank you for the overflowing salvation and eternal life of the Lord in our absence. May our 12 months and 365 days of the year become a fragrant and mature life that is woven with confessions of thanks and songs every day. Amen
