For the past week, a special early morning prayer meeting was held with the theme of cultivating the old ground. In order to obey God's commands, small actions are important. When we pray, God responds in four ways. Immediate responses, progressive responses, special responses, and disallow responses. The important thing is that prayer itself is a blessing. This is because prayer is a time to commune with God, who saves us, and to be with God. Why should we focus on prayer? ① Because it is the Lord's command (Jeremiah 33:3). ② Because it delights in giving to us (Jeremiah 29:12). ③ It is because those who pray have victory (Mark 9:29). You have power when you pray. Let's think about the prayer Jesus said.
1. Man is a praying being.
Man was not created by himself, but was created by God. It was not created and finished, but God gave life. This life can be obtained from God, but unfortunately, human beings have fallen by turning away from God. The result was death, and it was spiritually darkened, and humans, who should have served God, distrust God and live serving false idols. Prayer is when a person who has been cut off from God in this place of sin returns to God, seeks God, communicates with God, speaks to Him, and walks with Him.
2. The power of the saints is to pray.
If a person who wants to live without God is worldly, on the contrary, a saint is a person who cannot live without God. For the believer, distance from God is anguish and pain. The saints live a life that is satisfied and full of God's grace. However, there are people who are between the saints and the people of the world. Affiliation is the saint, but the address is the world. That is, they are worldly saints. It is not easy to tell whether such a person is serving God or not. It's ambiguous. There is a reason. Because they are far from God. The Word has gone away and prayer has gone away. There is a limit to trying to put out the heat with only the remaining embers. It should burn brightly. There is joy when we experience God's help in our lives and live a life of victory with power. Worldly saints do not have the privilege of faith. It's not that I don't have it, it's that I can't enjoy it. So tired. The life of faith is to enjoy the grace of God. One of them is to save.
Which of those who ask will get it? no. He says that everyone who asks will find it, seek and find, knock and it will be opened. Prayer is the greatest privilege among the powers of the saints. Is it material that you gain after meeting Jesus? Is it honor? All of them are good, but above all, I met God. So, how pitiful it would be if the saints did not know the privilege of prayer. Praying is not just a good thing, but it is not a good thing if you don't pray.
It is a natural result for believers who depend on God to pray. Why is not praying a sin? Because we do not depend on God. Why don't you pray? Because they don't expect God. Because they distrust God's way.
3. Prayer is not difficult.
Korean athletes won gold medals at the Vancouver Winter Olympics and became the joy of the people. Your skills are great. Can anyone like these do it? no. It is the result of bloody sweat and training and hard work. If praying to God could only be done by such a special person, we could not and would not need to do it. But prayer is easy. There are three things that hinder prayer: ① Don't even try because you think it's difficult ② Don't do it because you think it's useless. ③ This is because they procrastinate with the excuse of not having time. So how do you pray?
end. Prayer is what children seek.
God and I are seeking in the relationship of fathers and children. Today's parable about Jesus' prayer is that his son asks for bread, will you give him a stone? That is, if I ask for food, will you give me sand? We must become children before God.
I. God answers those who pray.
As a cause and effect, the word ‘then’ appears again and again. And it says that it will be done for everyone who does it. Save! How much to save in our lives? Find it! You must find what is lost. Knock on the door! When you encounter a dead-end alley closed in your life, you must knock on the Lord. Not asking for is proportional to the size of worry. If you don't find it, your anxiety grows. If you don't knock, frustration will prevail. It is a blessing to depend on God and live in communion with God. For every one who asks will receive.
