Contents Hymn 12 “Behold the suffering Lord”, 399 “On the word of the Lord”

Saints who remember the history of the past and find the conditions of gratitude! The grace God has bestowed upon us is so great. He is a God who loves words of thanks, expressions, and attitudes rather than complaints and complaints. If so, what were the things God did for me? Psalm 105 was written in memory of the poet making a covenant with the patriarchs of God and the process of the Exodus. Today, the poet remembers the history of the nation of Israel and introduces the contents of gratitude. The poet's purpose was to give thanks to Jehovah and to make his name and deeds known to all peoples.

First, the poet exhorts thanksgiving and praise to the Lord (Psalm 105:1-23).

The psalmist boasted in the name of God, testified that it was indeed a joyful heart to seek the Lord, and expressed that he sought the power of the Lord and his face. God introduces the wonders and miracles that God gave to the descendants of Abraham, the father of faith, the descendants of Jacob, whom he had chosen. God's covenant is eternal for thousands of generations. God's covenant is an everlasting covenant with the land of Canaan. God's covenant is a covenant of providence to send the wandering nations to a safe place. As a typical example of this, it is the covenant that prepared the salvation of Joseph, who was like a model of Jesus, from slavery in Egypt to becoming prime minister.

Second, the psalmist emphasizes that God kept the covenant and brought the Israelites out of Egypt (Psalm 106:24-45).

God's promise began with the great prosperity of the people of Israel. In the process of prospering, He caused them to suffer many persecutions, and after that, through Moses and Aaron, He made them a sign of God's existence. The process of Exodus was the process of what God had done. For example, the sign of darkness, the water turning into blood, frogs, flies, hail, locusts and countless locusts, and all the events of the firstborn are events that God has designated as the articles of the covenant. Not only that, the Passover event was a sign of the people of Israel's salvation. When they left Egypt, they brought silver and gold, and God's work of leading them with a pillar of cloud and a pillar of fire is truly amazing.

Dear saint! This is because God, who made the Israelites eat quail and drink water from the rock during their exodus from Egypt, remembered the covenant with Abraham, the father of faith. It is God's work to teach His chosen people to sing joyfully and give thanks to God for the land of the nations. Evangelism is God's work. So let's shout hallelujah and do God's work. -Amen-

Our Lord Jesus Christ! I want to build God's house in God's field with God's co-workers (Co 3:9).
