Find the way to eternal life
Find the way to eternal life
Text: Matthew 7: 13-14
Enter through the narrow gate; for the gate is wide and the road is broad that leads to destruction, and many go in by it, and the gate is narrow and narrow that leads to life, and few find it
There is a play called "15 Minutes". A 30-year-old young man with a promising future submitted his doctoral thesis and then contracted lung disease and died. Upon examination by the doctor, he was due to die in 15 minutes. Time is constantly running forward. The sick man asked the doctor, "How many minutes do you have left?" asked. "14 minutes left." "How many minutes do you have left?" "Thirteen minutes." "12 minutes" "11 minutes" Then the postman brought the letter. His uncle, a billionaire, had died, so he had to come and inherit the fortune. He asked the doctor again. "How many minutes do you have left?" "Nine minutes."
That's when the second letter was delivered. It was a letter of acceptance for a doctoral dissertation. And one after another, a letter was also delivered from her lover confirming the marriage. He struggled all his life to get what was hard to get. But none of that could give him any consolation. In the end, he lost his life, and the billionaire's property right, his doctorate, and his marriage license all became meaningless like a piece of tissue paper.
Life is more important than food and the body is more important than clothes (Luke 12:23, Matthew 6:25) Life.
“What will it profit a man if he gains the whole world and loses his soul? What will a man give in exchange for his life?” (Matthew 16:26)
Life is so precious. But life in this world is short-lived.
“What is your life? You are a mist that appears for a little while and then vanishes” (James 4:14).
There are things more precious and more important than life (life) in this world. It is to live forever as a child of God in heaven. God has promised eternal life to those who believe and receive Jesus.
“To all who received him, to those who believed in his name, he gave the right to become children of God (John 1:12).
“For God so loved the world, that he gave his only begotten Son, that whoever believes in him should not perish but have eternal life” (John 3:16).
“Whoever believes in the Son has eternal life; whoever does not obey the Son will not see eternal life, but the wrath of God remains on him” (John 3:36).
“I tell you the truth, whoever hears my word and believes him who sent me has eternal life and will not come into judgment, but has passed from death to life” (John 5:24).
'He who does not have the Son of God has no life' (1 John 5:12) Jesus is the bread and the fruit of life. (John 6:48) Only Jesus is the way, the truth, and the life. (John 14:6 )
To find the way to eternal life, you must know God. “Eternal life is to know the only true God and Jesus Christ whom you have sent” (John 17:3). Only by knowing God can we live according to God’s will and please Him. In order to know God, we must learn the Word. Without the knowledge of God, we will perish (Hos. 4:6) A community that has a mission to build and expand the kingdom of God on this earth, learn the Word, and establish a community of righteousness, peace, joy (Romans 14:17) and love. There is. Please come to the Galilee Community.
* Reception prayer: God, I want to accept Jesus Christ as my Lord right now. This time opens the door to my heart. I repent of not knowing God and living according to my own will. I believe that Jesus paid the price for my sins by dying on the cross for my sins. Now I accept Jesus as my Savior and my God. Thank you for forgiving my sins and giving me eternal life. Rule me now, make me the person you want me to be, make me a child of God. I pray in Jesus name. Amen
