From Receiver to Giver
Contents Bible Text: 1 Peter 2:9-10 Title: From Receiver to Giver
what money can't buy
There are many things that money cannot buy.
Money can buy a bed, but not sleep.
You can buy books, but you cannot buy learning.
You can buy food, but not appetite.
You can buy beautiful clothes, but not beauty.
You can buy a house, but you can't buy a home.
You can buy medicine, but not health.
You can buy pleasure, but not peace.
You can buy luxury, but not culture.
You can buy entertainment, but you can't buy joy.
The cross can live, but the Savior cannot.
You can buy a church building, but you cannot live in heaven.
1. God wants to bless you
In today's text 1 Peter 2:9-10, in God
We talk about how precious we are.
We are the chosen Zhusak, the royal priesthood,
It is a holy nation, God's people, owned by God
God wants us to be happy.
Deuteronomy 10:12-13. 12 O Israel, the LORD your God
what are you asking for
Fear the LORD your God and walk in all his ways,
Love him with all your heart and all your soul
Serve the LORD your God 13 and I am commanding you today for your happiness.
Shall we not keep the commandments and ordinances of the Lord? Deuteronomy 30:19-20 19 Today I call heaven and earth to testify against you.
I have set before you life and death, blessing and curse
Choose life so that you and your descendants may live, 20 and love the LORD your God, and obey his word and obey him.
He is your life and your longevity; the LORD, your father Abraham,
You will dwell in the land you swore to give to Isaac and Jacob.
Numbers 6:22-27. 22 The LORD spoke to Moses, saying, 23 Speak to Aaron and his sons,
You shall bless the children of Israel this way, saying, 24 The LORD bless you and keep you; 25 the LORD make his face shine upon you and be gracious to you, 26 and the LORD will turn his face toward you.
27 May they bless the children of Israel in my name.
I will bless them
2. The secret to being blessed
Notice Exodus 15:22-27?
22 Moses led Israel out of the Red Sea, and they came out
They went into the wilderness of Shur, and traveled three days there, but found no water. 23 And they came to Marah, because the water was bitter and they could not drink.
24 And the people grumbled against Moses, saying, What shall we drink? 25 And Moses cried out to the LORD, and the LORD gave him a tree.
He threw it into the water, and the water became sweet.
There the LORD made a decree and a decree for them, and put them to the test 26 saying, "You obey the voice of the LORD your God,
If you do what is right in my sight, if you listen to my commandments and keep all my ordinances,
I will not bring on you one of all the diseases that I have brought upon the Egyptians.
For I am the LORD who heals you. 27 When they came to Elim, there were twelve springs of water and seventy palms.
There they camped by the water.
Conclusion.
Acts 20:31-35.
31 Therefore, wake up and I will not stop for three years, day and night, with tears.
Remember the admonition of each man 32 Now I entrust you to the Lord and to the word of his grace.
The word is able to build you up and to sanctify you
33 I have coveted no one's silver, or gold, or clothing; 34 I know that this hand has suffered the use of me and my companions, 35 I have set an example for you in all things.
Helping the weak, and as the Lord Jesus Himself said,
Remember that it is more blessed to give than to receive.
