Zechariah (19) Give affection rather than criticism (Zechariah 6:9-13)
< The relationship between the Church and the Messiah >
In the text, God commands Zechariah to crown the high priest Joshua (verses 9-11). To say that the high priest wears the crown in that order means that he serves both the office of the high priest and the king. In fact, in the history of Israel, there has never been a case in which a king served as a high priest or a high priest also served as king. After all, the building of the temple in the text is not a word related to the building of the temple at that time, but a word that shows the relationship between the church and Jesus. What lessons do these verses teach in relation to the church?

In the first part of verse 13, “He builds the house of the Lord and gains glory” is about the Messiah, but actually applies to anyone. When he encounters injustice and grudges in his life, he wants to explode, but when he tries hard to build a church and endures, God sees his perseverance and surely raises him to a place of glory. If you can't bear it, you will regret it later, but if you do, you will later think that you too have endured it very well, and God will reward you with blessings.
3. The Lord rules and defends the Church.
The second half of verse 13 means that even if the offices of king and priest are different, there is perfect harmony and unity between them. Who perfectly fulfills the offices of king and priest at the same time? That is Jesus. Jesus rules the church as a king on the one hand and defends the church as a priest on the other hand. That means the church is thoroughly protected by Jesus. After all, in this world, there is no life more blessed than the life of serving the church well.

Church problems must be approached cautiously and wisely with fear and trembling so that the integrity of the church is not damaged and my soul is not damaged. In fact, church problems cannot be solved by criticism alone. Weaknesses aren't just for criticism. When a couple embraces an utopia and reveals each other's faults, the happiness of the family is ruined. You can criticize the country's education policy, but your children who can't study are 'objects of encouragement' rather than 'objects of criticism'.
Change the way you think about the church. The church is a community of faith that has a ‘hospital concept’ rather than a ‘heaven concept’. If you find the perfect church in heaven on earth, never register with that church. Because he is destroying the church. The church is a place where sinners seek refuge.
